The Diploma Program Curriculum

The Curriculum contains 6 subject groups together with 3 Core Elements.

Students must take:1. 3 Higher Level subjects2. 3 Standard Level subjects3. All 3 of the core elements

●Extended Essay (EE)●Theory of Knowledge (ToK)●Creativity, Activity, Service

(CAS)

The curriculum contains 6 subject groups and a core of 3 parts.

The Diploma Program Curriculum

✓ Diploma is graded out of 45 points. ✓ Course marked from 1 to 7.✓ Max of 3 bonus points are awarded

for TOK and EE combined.

Passing the IB DiplomaCandidate Requirements:✓ No fewer than 24 points total.✓ CAS requirements have been met.✓ There is no “N” awarded for TOK, the EE or for a

contributing subject.✓ There is no grade E awarded for TOK and/or the

EE.✓ There is no grade 1 awarded in a subject/level.✓ There are no more than two grade 2s awarded

(HL or SL).✓ There are no more than three grade 3s or below

awarded (HL or SL).✓ The candidate has gained 12 points or more on

HL subjects. ✓ The candidate has gained 9 points or more on

SL subjects.

Course Options (2018-2019)1. Students choose six subjects (one each from Groups 1 to 6), OR2. Students choose five subjects from groups 1 to 5 and another subject from group 1 to 4, OR3. Students choose three subjects from group 1, 2, 5 with ESS & two subjects from Group 6.
