You must choose six subjects, one from each of the subject groups 1-5. The sixth subject may be either Visual Arts or an additional subject from group 1, 2, 3 or 4.
You must choose three subjects at higher level and three at standard level.

*Group 1 should be your mother tongue or your best language. Self-taught language is a firstlanguage that you wish to conduct at self-studied literature course in with some supervision, but noclasses.**Group 2 is a foreign language.German B and Danish B is for speakers with 2-4 years experience. Danish ai and Spanish ai arebeginners' languages and require no previous skills in the language.
***ESS is an interdisciplinary group 3 and 4 course that is offered only at standard level. You can choose to let ESS be a group 3 subject, a group 4 subject or have it cover both groups 3 and 4.
Please Note: Viborg Katedralskole cannot guarantee that all your choices can be met. Starting a given subject presupposes that a certain number of students sign on for the subject. If there are insufficient applicants to offer a subject, we will contact you regarding other options.

Enclosed documents
Checklist - you must forward the following documents with the application: Latest report card (required - if the report card is not in Danish, German, English, French or Spanish, you must attach atranslation into Danish or English by an authorized translator)
A copy of your passport (required)
A reference from your present school - (required for applicants from foreign schools)
Personal statement “Why I want to study the IB-programme” (required)
If you have a history of learning challenges (dyslexia or other) or medical/mental issues that could affect your education you are obliged to attach a description of these challenges with relevant documentation.
Deadline: March 1, 2022
Late applications are also taken into consideration. Final decisions on what subjects (esp. group 2) will be offered in May. All applicants will be contacted by the IB coordinator either with an offer or with a request for further information, a meeting, interview or possibly tests.
