Astrobiology

Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution

and distribution of life in the universe. It includes

the search for intelligent extraterrestrial life.

Astrobiology is multidisciplinary - fields hitherto

unrelated find common ground in astrobiology;

from astronomy to biology and cosmology to

geology and medicine to engineering.

Indian Astrobiology Research Centre (IARC)

offers Diploma Programs in Astrobiology,

Astronomy, Cosmology and Evolution.

These three month long courses are offered

through Distance and Web-based Learning tostudents in India and overseas.

facilitates interaction with course instructor(s).

Nations Decade on Biodiversity and United Nations

Decade for Deserts and the Fight againstDesertification.

Participants can opt for additional assignment work

IARC conducts national level education programs in official association / partnership

with initiatives of United Nations.

Download the Syllabus, How It Works and Form

Send Form and Fee (by Post or Email & Etrasnfer)

IARC Diploma Program Books / CD are sent in the first week of

each month by courier

Participants will receive access to Web Classroom and login

details for Online Test Platform

Group (> 10) Registration Discounts are offered

How To Study

The Diploma Course Book forms the core of the syllabus

study at a leisurely pace and do the workbook activity

Attend the Web Classroom of IARC on Scitable here the

latest news and updates will be shared (invite will be sent)

Use the Web Test Platform to evaluate your understanding of

various topics of the course work (login details will be sent) in

the third month (last month) from enrolment.

Participants will have to complete three assignments these will

require some reference work (a guide will be provided)

Exams will be online and consist of descriptive Opinion Questionsand Multiple Choice Questions (practice link will be provided)

On successful completion of assignments & exams; Diploma

certification will be awarded
