Mr. Ian McAuley is the President of American Hotel Income Properties REIT (GP) Inc., the General Partner of American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP. Under the guidance of the CEO and the Board of Directors, Mr. McAuley focuses on executing AHIP's strategic plan and ensuring the organizational readiness to fulfill the company's long-term objectives. Ian oversees AHIP's hotel manager, ONE Lodging Management, in addition to providing leadership and direction to AHIP's asset management and investment teams as the company continues to accumulate a diversified portfolio of investment grade, high-margin, select- service premium branded hotels.
Prior to joining AHIP as Executive Vice President – Asset Management in 2015, he served as President and CEO Continuum Health Care Holdings Ltd., a senior housing developer, owner, and operator for five years until its sale in 2016. For 15 years prior, he was President and COO of Superior Lodging Corp., one of Canada's leading hotel investment and development companies.
Mr. McAuley is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, holds MBA and BA degrees along with a specialized diploma in Hospitality Administration, and is a recent graduate of the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Management.
