Ian is an experienced and successful entrepreneur, having taken various innovative technologies

and business models and turned them into successful businesses.

He is Chairman of Omni Innovation, Vice Chairman of Perth Angels, Deputy Chairman of Activ

Foundation and a Non Executive Director of InterGrain. He is also a Strategic Advisor to

Environmental Dredging Solutions and the Energy Pipelines CRC.

Ian is the Facilitator of the CSIRO ON Prime business model design program helping researchers

at CSIRO and Universities validate their research and validate real world applications. He is also

an Entrepreneur in Residence at INSEAD (Europe’s #1 Business School) and a Co-Facilitator at

the INSEAD Sci-Tech Bootcamp business model design program and a Judge in the INSEAD

Venture Competition.

Ian also consults to business founders, owners and managers, in new and mature businesses, in

all aspects of entrepreneurship, commercialisation and strategy.

Ian has an MBA and he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ian is also a

past Fellow of the Australia Institute of Management. Ian has lived and worked in London, Milan,

Gothenburg, Melbourne and Perth and has worked on significant projects throughout Asia, Japan

and the US. His experience covers Chemicals and Ceramics, Medical and Healthcare Products,

Engineering, Agricultural and Food Technology.
