Since 2003 : development of a political documentary focused on digitalization

This development is strategically important for the library in the contexte of the implementation of the LMD at the CNSMDL.

In addition, the library knows as most institutions a decrease in loans and an increase in attendance portal.

Consequence : -a new organization and a new conception of work « inter-service » for a collective gestion of documents created by the CNSMDL

Importation et formats

• Import in XML bibliographic records extracted of catalog (INTERMARC)

• Manage import via interface. Possibility to catalogue independently in the future

• Interface with possibility to catalogue in EAD bibliographic records extracted from input mask and advanced input

EAD is conceived to describe a catalog, an inventory or directory of archivesn manuscripts and collections.

EAD allows linking between documents : a rec ording with the program associated for exemple

Its advantage is interoperability using XML.

Facilitated integration in portals and catalogs.

EAD : an another conception than INTERMARC, antinomian and complementary

EAD offers a complementary view of collections by presenting them hierarchical.

We choosed the interface CD ead developed by the society CD-Script, presented on Jacques Kergomard’s blog (BiblioTIC).

CD ead : an interface of management , research and consultation. An interface very easy to use

Preliminary tasks : - Cross reference table INTERMARC / EAD- select bibliographic records INTERMARC and save it in ISO2709- define identifiers- define parameters in XML- control the first extraction- define the search criterias

Be careful : Structure will be defined forever ! It’s very difficult to change the structure after the implementation.
