I was asked by an American friend to do an

arrangement of the fantastic song ‘I’ll make a

man out of you’ from Disney’s ‘Mulan’ (1998) for

brass band. Written for Fred Mbesi, for the

Central Music Institute talent night contest, for

the Cedar Cabin to perform.

The arrangement should be very straight forward

for the most part. Mind the baritone and tenor

horn semi-quaver figures during the chorus

sections. Encourage the entire band to sing as

confidently and boldly as possible in section G,

otherwise the section will seem out of place.
