What we do

IAESTE New Zealand offers kiwi students the chance to go abroad and receive course-related, paid, technical work experience. This not only broadens their cultural horizons and creates industry links between New Zealand and abroad, but allows these students to develop their professional skills before returning to New Zealand and through their skilled work enhancing our economy.

Additionally, IAESTE New Zealand facilitates the placement of highly skilled international workers in both long and short term projects for New Zealand companies. This allows New Zealand companies the opportunity to create links with international industry professionals of tomorrow, picked precisely to meet their needs, and to add a global dimension to their workspace.

IAESTE New Zealand offers these incoming workers aid with housing, visas and a cultural welcome programme, introducing them to the New Zealand lifestyle and locals. Our local subcommittee also benefits from this,

creating friendships that span continents, whilst developing soft skills such as communication, teamwork, cold-calling, databasing, marketing, graphic design and finance in one of of our sub-committees or in a leadership role.

IAESTE is a great way for young people today to become industry professionals tomorrow!

How you can help us

IAESTE New Zealand is a fully student run not-for profit registered charity (registration number CC50727) and as such requires sponsorship, grants, and other help in order to continue offering this amazing opportunity to New Zealand students.

Every year, IAESTE New Zealand incurs costs through its substan-tial membership fee paid to the international body, conference attendence, promotional needs, event organisation, and other costs. These are all vital to the running of our organisation as well providing both New Zealand students, international student trainees, and New Zealand employers with the best possible experience.

We also require support on a local level, both for running our local committees through providing our New Zealand members with enriching events and opportunities, as well as developing their professional skills, and so that we are able to offer our international trainees a great experience in New Zealand, through adequate housing, cultural enrichment, and social events that take place outside of their working hours.

We take our work very seriously at IAESTE, and are appreciative of any aid we may receive, through whatever means.

“IAESTE New Zealand helps students stand on top of the world”

What we can offer you

In return for your support, we can come up with a supporters package that meets your needs. This could include promotions, through advertising your firm or organisation on our website, flyers and other media, and through word of mouth. Potentially we could also recommend that our members and trainees only do business etc. through you. We are open to discussion, and hope to meet your needs, so wish to create a contract that thanks and suits you.
