It is possible to change the size of the reading font by placing two fingers on the screen and pinching them together.

Tapping the top of the screen when in reading mode will bring up the menu bar. This allows users to search for specific words within the text.

Visually impaired users can also activate the text-to-speech mode by selecting the ‘Menu’ button and then selecting ‘Turn Text-to-Speech On’.

The Kindle is equipped with two small speakers at the rear of the device and a headphone jack at its base, beside the on/off switch.

Users can also navigate through the contents of each book using the ‘Go To’ button on the lower menu bar.
