Take a digital photograph of yourselfChoose a pose that shows you expressing yourself in some wayUse a solid color background

In Elements use the magic wand to select the figureClick delete to erase the backgroundUse the eraser tool to remove any small pieces of the background that remain

Look for marching ants!

Then click delete Home

While your portrait is still selected choose the inverse functionSelect the color blackUse the fill selection tool to fill your portrait to create the silhouette

If your background turned black you forgot to click inverse

Create a new layer called background color. Pick your color and use the fill tool to completeCreate a third layer and use the text tool to type in your iPhraseName your last layer silhouette

Rearrange the layers so they are in this order: background, silhouette, iPhraseGo to layers and flatten the imageYou’re done – save!
