Hey, thanks so much for downloading this PDF! In the following pages, I’m going to share with you recipes for the two VEGAN protein powder blends that I rely upon and where you can access them. Neither of the shakes I use are purchased from major commercial brands. I shop at an online bulk supplier as it’s more aordable, and lacks bullshit filler found in many of the well-known brands. This means more bang for your buck, plus the store I use, True Nutrition, also oers the option of creating your own custom blends which means I can tailor my shakes to my personal needs and ensure that everything is in-line with the latest scientific research. True Nutrition services the USA, so if you are located elsewhere you may need to seek alternative options, or use a similar service (where available). ©2015 Stronger Faster Vegan. www.StrongerFasterVegan.com Legal Disclaimers, and Privacy. Note: I recommend whole food protein sources wherever possible, but if you prefer to use a protein shake to help you meet your protein macros for the day, I believe these are the best blends to consume. If you have a medical condition (especially diabetes) it’s important to discuss supplements (e.g.: protein shakes) with a competent medical professional before taking them. Hey, thanks so much for downloading this PDF!

In the following pages, I’m going to share with you recipes for the two VEGAN protein powder blends that I rely upon and where you can access them.

Neither of the shakes I use are purchased from major commercial brands. I shop at an online bulk supplier as it’s more affordable, and lacks bullshit filler found in many of the well-known brands.

This means more bang for your buck, plus the store I use, True Nutrition, also offers the option of creating your own custom blends which means I can tailor my shakes to my personal needs and ensure that everything is in-line with the latest scientific research.

True Nutrition services the USA, so if you are located elsewhere you may need to seek alternative options, or use a similar service (where available).

Click here to see our full medical disclaimer.

Unfortunately, I don’t know of any European, South American, Asian or Oceanian alternatives to True Nutrition.

That being said, to assist those of you who live elsewhere, I will list alternatives for my two blends that you can concoct with store-bought powders of whatever brand(s) you choose.

If you do, however, choose True Nutrition, you can make use of my affiliate code at checkout: VEGNUT100, for a 5% discount off your entire order. (Disclosure: I receive credit on every purchase this code is used for. Read more here.)

CORY’S BLEND TYPE 1 – Soy, Pea & Rice Protein

This is my favorite blend, with the highest protein content per 30 gram scoop – which is slightly more protein than Vega products currently offer per scoop.

True Nutrition Blend:‣ 50% soy isolate ‣ 35% pea isolate ‣ 15% rice concentrate

If you cannot purchase a custom blend online, you can buy the soy, pea and rice individually.

DIY Blend:‣ 1/2 scoop of soy protein (preferably an isolate) ‣ 1/4 scoop of pea protein (preferably an isolate) ‣ 1/4 scoop of rice protein (isolate or concentrate) ...per full scoop of protein desired.  This will approximate the blend I use.

A Note On Soy:

If you are healthy, do not fear any estrogenic side effects from soy! That's an old myth that needs to be laid to rest, once and for all.

Based on meta-analysis, soy foods and the isoflavones have not demonstrated any negative impacts on testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin, free-testosterone, or free androgen index in men. [Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19524224]

Furthermore, the inclusion of soy isolate appears to INCREASE free testosterone levels (by nearly 33%), while lowering estrogen (by nearly 18%)! [Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1997115/]

But, if for some reason you have soy allergies, ailments or sensitivities of some sort you can use my second blend.

CORY’S BLEND TYPE 2 - Pea & Rice Protein

True Nutrition Blend: ‣ 70% pea isolate ‣ 30% rice concentrate

Once again, if you cannot purchase a custom blend online, you can buy the pea and rice individually.

DIY Blend:‣ 3/4 pea protein (preferably an isolate) ‣ 1/4 scoop of rice protein (isolate or

concentrate) ...per full scoop of protein desired. This will approximate my blend.

I originally got the idea of blending pea and rice from this article.

The pea and rice combination is touted as a vegan replacement for the ubiquitous whey protein, as it shares a similar amino acid profile.
