I N T R O D U C T I O NNestled in amongst the beau�ful rose bushes of Ludwig’s Rose Farm, just 20 kilometres from Pretoria, and an hour’s drive from Johannesburg is The Rose Shed.

A wonderful rus�c country barn that can comfortably host recep�ons for up to 300 guests in our main venue, and up to 80 in each of our smaller venues: The Rose Kitchen and The Afdak.Our skilled team have the exper�se and space to create bigger spaces, smaller spaces, unique spaces, any space… within the splendor that is Ludwig’s Roses.

Our focus is to support your dream, understanding that you ul�mately make the final decision. This solu�on allows you to break down the various costs which will be put together in an itemised quote clearly outlining the cost of each line item.

B U D G E T S & T I P SAs the experts in the art of crea�ng the perfect day we are sharing some helpful hints, which will hopefully help you create your perfect day easily.

If a couple is able to give a budget es�mate and goes on to describe what they would like, the venue is then able to interpret the wedding dream as closely as possible. Doing so by supplying op�ons and applying exper�se in terms of suggested savings and ideas on alterna�ves…

• As a start write down your perfect dream wedding with as much of the specific details as you can.

• Create a Pinterest board with a detailed look and feel that you can present to all relevant suppliers.

• This will be the star�ng point to your planning. • Understand what finances will be available and from whom.

If your parents are paying for the wedding, define what theircontribu�on will be in Rand terms.

• Understanding your financial commitment for the event is the secret to a stress free journey leading up to your Wedding Day.

V E N U E SThe Rose Shed hosts the main recep�on for our large events. Boas�ng a beau�ful rose fountain and a private garden area with ivy clad walls. The sliding barn doors, draped ceiling, stunning chandeliers, white washed walls all provide a blank canvas to create the most beau�ful wedding recep�ons. The Afdak is an annexure for larger events and can be used as a smoking lounge.

The Rose Kitcen - Our open air country fare restaurant with a fire place, tasteful rose décor, pale�e clad bar set amongst the splendor of Ludwig's Roses (with a capacity of 80 - 100 guests).The Afdak - Industrial farm chic venue perfect for a long table celebra�on (with a capacity of 80 guests).Our Chapel is located on our sister farm 3kms down the road, a converted gabled milking shed, it provides the perfect se�ng for your nuptuals. The Picnic lawn is wonderful for outside ceremonies and alfresco recep�ons, located next to a beau�ful dam.

F O O D S O L U T I O N SThe food that is served at your Wedding is a cri�cal component of your special day. The challenge around crea�ng the perfect menu for all your guests is determined by: taste, budget, religion, dietary considera�ons such as a allergies or lifestyle choices, and most importantly what the bridal couple actually like to eat. A cri�cal considera�on is the decision around preference of service i.e. Plated Service, Buffet, Family Feast, Food Bars, High Tea, Canapés...

The Rose Shed has a fully equipped kitchen that can cater for up to 300 people. This is complimented with a Dedicated Heat Chef and his team of talented chefs which allows for flexibility around guest preferrences. Vegetarian and Vegan op�ons as well as healthy (i.e. diabe�c/cholesterol/low fat) op�ons are all available. We also have strategic partnerships with preferred suppliers in the Kosher and Halaal sector.

The Rose Shed has created a range of Wedding Recep�on Menus that cater to a range of different dietary requirements, as well as a range of budgets. Taking everything into considera�on the team is also very aware that some of our bridal couples might want to build their own Menu.

Our team will gladly consult with the Bridal party and create a tailor made menu. Once your menu is finalised, a “tas�ng” is arranged to present all your choices, giving the couple the opportunity to make their final decisions or any changes necessary.

Usually the Bride and Groom supply a welcome drink and Bubbles for the toasts.

Do not feel under pressure to provide an open bar to all your guests. Set the limit based on what you have budgeted. Alterna�vely a cash bar is available. You will however be asked to provide info on the specifics of what your guests like to drink. So if need be we can facilitate special requests of items we do not normally stock (shooters, specialists whiskeys, etc.). We do not have a specific wine list and encourage couples to advise us on what wines they would prefer, however we can provide sugges�ons based on experience and/or the menu selected. We will provide you with a drinks list, so you are aware of our pricing. However, please understand that prices are never guaranteed as the venue has no control over pricing fluctua�ons.

P A P E R T R A I LYour Quote All quotes are generated by the team at The Rose Shed and indicate the start of the rela�onship between the couple and The Rose Shed. At the �me of quota�on no reserva�ons will be made for either the venue, chapel or bridal suite or any other facili�es on the property.

Provisional Confirma�onOnce you and your fiancé have decided that you are ge�ng married at The Rose Shed, your co-ordinator will make the booking for the relevant venues and facili�es, including the bridal suite. This will be provisionally confirmed in wri�ng and this booking is held for a period of 7 days.

In the event that another couple decides on the same period and there is a booking conflict, your co-ordinator will contact you to advise you. Payment of the non-refundable deposit is the key to switching the booking status from ‘provisional’ to ‘confirmed’.

Confirma�on of your wedding booking Please note that the confirma�on of your wedding is only in place once you have received wri�en confirma�on. This confirma�on will be sent once no�fica�on that the non-refundable deposit funds have cleared into The Rose Shed bank account.

P A P E R T R A I LThe confirma�on will clearly outline everything discussed to that point, to ensure that The Rose Shed team can start the process of realizing your dream wedding and assis�ng the bridal couple.

The finer details of the weddingWe take the responsibilty of this special day extremely seriously.To be able to deliver this, the pace of communica�on will increase about 10 weeks prior to your wedding, as we finalise the details. The bridal couple will be required to a�end 3 mee�ngs with your co-ordinator to sign off all the stages of the planning process. If you can share as much informa�on with the team prior to the �me, your day will be solely about celebra�on. Allowing us to plan and deliver according to your expecta�ons.

Your wedding contract is the document that is designed to clarify your financial commitments, as well as clarify what the expecta�ons are with regards to what is included in the quota�on and what is not. We regard it as our “Marriage Contract” between The Rose Shed and our Bridal Couple.

The contract should be signed and the non-refundable deposit paid to The Rose Shed as a means to finalise and confirm your wedding.

The non-refundable por�on of the deposit is designed to ensure that the availability of the venue is guaranteed to the bride and the groom. Short term cancela�ons therefore have a direct impact on the venue, as all other business has been declined and or turned away.

The cancella�on policy is included into the wedding contract and is linked to the non-refundable deposit.

Payment terms are also clearly laid out in the wedding contract. We request payment to be made either by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Credit Card. The Rose Shed does not accept cash deposits for large events on property and request all cash payments are processed as a direct deposit into The Rose Shed bank account.

Changes in final numbers are required three weeks prior to the date of the func�on. However, should your numbers increase on the day of the func�on, charges will be levied accordingly. Please note that this is for catering purposes.
