"LEPID." is uaed where intereata include all three of the above groupe. Following the intereate among taxonallie groupe are the other aspecta ot lepidopterology in which the lIe111ber is interested. The lIember's DUle preceded by an aateriak (.) indicatea Charter Mellbership; his DIUIle in capital letters indi­catea Suataining Membership. The word "Nearetio" here lleans !aerica north of Mexioo. For uniformit,. "Phalaenidae" is used for all cases, eTen though the equhalent name "Noctuidae" had been placed on the _.bership card by aaRe lIembers.
