Sign in and Create Profile
Step 1 – Get started
You need a BCeID to access BC
Hunting online.
Go to gov.bc.ca/hunting
If you already have a Basic or
Personal BCeID:
Click Sign in to BC Hunting
If you don’t have a Basic or Personal
BCeID:
Click Register for BCeID and
follow the steps to obtain your
BCeID
Step 2 – Sign in to BC
Hunting (BCeID required)
Enter your BCeID and password
Click Next
Note: You need to provide your BCeID
each time you sign in to BC Hunting.

Step 3 – Create your Fish and
Wildlife Profile
If you don’t have a BC Resident Hunter
Number or Fish and Wildlife ID, click
Create Profile
Step 4 – Create your Fish
and Wildlife Profile
Complete all mandatory fields
(marked with * )
Click the box if Street Address is the
same as Mailing Address
Click NEXT

Step 5 – Review your Fish
and Wildlife Profile
Your Profile homepage will display
each time you sign back in to BC
Hunting.
From your Profile homepage, you
can:
Apply for your hunting
credentials
View your FW profile
View your FW Profile History
Print or save your FWID
Your FWID will not display until your
BC Resident and Hunting credentials
are activated.
Click Apply for Credentials
Step 6 – Proof of
Residency
After selecting Apply for Credentials,
you will be directed to the proof of
residency page.
Upload Proof of Residency
Documentation by clicking Browse
to find your document
Enter a description of the
document(s) and click Upload.
Click Next
Click Cancel to return to your FW
Profile
Note: You may skip the next step if your
Proof of Residency document includes
your Date of Birth.

Step 7 – Proof of Age
Click Upload to upload a Proof of
Age document, OR
Click Next to skip this step
Note: Complete this step if your
residency document does not include
your date of birth.
Step 8 – Hunter
Qualification
You must now confirm one of the
following to go to the next step:
o You have completed hunter
safety training (Step 9), OR
o You are a person registered
under the Indian Act (Canada)
(Step 10)
Click Confirm

Step 9 – Proof of Hunter
Safety Training
Upload Hunter Safety Training
document
Click Next, OR
Click Back to return to the
previous screen
Note: Clicking Cancel will return you to
your FW Profile.
Step 10 – Proof of Status
Upload Proof of Status document
Click Next, OR
Click Back to return to the
previous screen

Step 11 – Review Your
Documents
If necessary, you can click Edit to
remove the document and upload
a different document
Click Submit Application
Step 12 – Application
Submitted
Click Return to Profile to view
your Fish and Wildlife Profile
Note: Your FW Profile History will
display your credentials application
status as “In Review.” The documents
you uploaded will be reviewed. It may
take up to 3 business days to review and
confirm your documents. Your Profile
History will change when your
documents have been reviewed and
your credentials have been activated.
You will receive an email notification that
your profile has been updated.

Step 13 – View your Fish
and Wildlife Profile
Sign in to BC Hunting with your
BCeID
When your application for credentials
has been approved, your FWID
number, BC Resident and Hunting
credentials will be Active
You are now eligible to submit an
LEH application or purchase your
hunting and/or species licences.
Step 14 – Print/Save your
FWID
Click Print/Save my FWID if you
want to download it or print it. This
is optional.
