Biography Jaume Huguet was born in Valls,

Tarragona, Spain in 1412. He was Spanish. He was an orphan in 1419. He was raised by his uncle Pere

Huguet. His uncle Pere was a painter.

How Jaume Huguet painted:

1. He used a piece of wood from a tree to paint.

2. They put animal glue on the wood.3. Then they put a piece of cloth on top of the

wood.4. They kept putting animal glue and cloth up

to 15 times.5. He painted with Tempra paint.6. Tempra paint was made out of egg yolk.7. He used charcoal to draw his picture.8. He painted behind or above church altars.
