Service Adjustments

1. Preface

This Adjust Manual is only used for 8T91 LCD TV.

2. Specify

2.1 This TV operates on AC supply directly connect the AC plug to the AC220Vsocket at

the back of the TV.

2.2 Insert the mains plug in the wall socket having a mains voltage of 100~240V AC, 50/

60Hz.

2.3 Working condition: if no show clearly, work in the following state:.

1) Tempurature : 25 5

2) Relative humidity : 60% 20%

2.4 The receive set should be adjusted after working 20 minutes if no prior notice.

2.5 Equipments used

60~80dBu standard color bar from Pm 5418 or from factory central signal generator is

3. Software

Notice

software using in this chassis is stored in FLASH ROM. The flash ROM is re-writable.

Procedure relates to functions. Difference function chassis should be written differen

-ce edition procedure.

Service Adjustments

4. Chassis check

4.1 The chassis should be clear and no short or open circuit, no missing components or

wrong components insertion.

4.2 Check the input and output pins of 24V,12V,5V,3.3V,2.4V,1.8V, REGULATOR IC

(IC201,,IC203,IC206,IC3030,IC600,IC603,IC703,IC710), CONFIRM NO SHORT CIRC

-UIT TO Gnd.

4.3 Connect the chassis to LCD panel on the adjust equipment and power on, confirm

5V,3.3V,2.4V,1.8V from the regulators are OK.

4.4. Confirm OSD is OK,blue ground appears is no signal.

4.5 Confirm remote control functions and all local keys control function are OK. The set

can enter standby states and exit to normal work status.

4.6 Confirm search function, store all factory signal, confirm picture and sound of any

pattern are Ok.

4.7Confirm sound and picture of AV/FULL SCART/HALF SCART/YPbPr/YcbCr/High

definition/PC/DVI are OK.

4.8 Confirm Teletext is OK.

4.9 After complete assembly set TV to snow dot mode to aging line.

5. Complete check

5.1 Check picture and sound in all the TV/AV mode and any systems (PAL/SECAM BG/

DK/I, NTSC-AV are OK. Check picture and sound under the weak and strong signal; ch

-eck picturein low and high voltage power input mode.

5.2 Confirm NICAM function is OK.

5.3 Confirm Teletext function is OK.

5.4 Confirm sound and picture of AV/FULL SCART/HALF SCART/YPbPr/YcbCr/High

definition/PC/DVI are OK .

5.5 Confirm remote control and local control functions are OK,we can set the TV to standby

mode then normal mode to confirm if the set can work properly.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Connect the AC plug to the AC 220V socket at the back of the TV. Then power indicator will turn red. Press the Power ON/OFF button, the power indicator will become green, after a few seconds, the current program is displayed on the screen.

Stand by button ,switch the TV from on to standby or from off to operate.

Press repeatedly to select TV, AV, YCbCr, YPbPr, H_SCART, F_SCART, PC monitor, DVI monitor mode.

Enter the PICTURE SETTING menu, you can select different submenu at different model.At TV model you can select Brightness, Contrast ,Color, Sharpness items by pressing the CH+/- buttons and adjust them by pressing VOL+/- buttons. The adjusted level is stored in custom mode.At the other model, the operation is same.At the YPbPr , PC and DVI model, you can select Colour Temp(colour temperature)submenu,then you can choose different color temperature by the VOL+/-button,the order shown bellow:9300K 7300K 6500K User

When you select User model, you can adjust USER_R, USER_G and USER_B.At the other model,the USER_R, USER_G and USER_B submenu can not be selected.

TELETEXT FUNCTION Most TV channels broadcast information via teletext. Each Channel with broad cast teletext transmits a page with Information on how to use its teletext system. Look for the teletext page with the main index (usually page 100). Depending on the TV channel, teletext is tram smitted in different systems: sand and teletext, Top and Fastext. Stand and teletext lonsists of a number of page which are selected by directly entering the corresponding page number. Top and Fastext make use of the colours along the bottom line, corresponding, with the colours keys of your remote control to select teletext information. A Top overview of the teletext subjects available is displayed. Make use of the colour keys to select teletext information or directly the teletext pages with the digit keys.

If subpages are available you can stop them from automatically rotating or select the described subpage yourself.Press the key. The subpage number is displayed at the bottom of the screen.Press the red or green key to select the previous or following subpage. Or change the subpage with the PROG .+/- or with the digit keys. BATTERY INSTALLATION (REMOTE CONTROL UNIT)

THE CAUSES OF INTERFERENCE

Incorporated in your TV receiver are the most up-to-date devices to eliminate interference. Local radiation however, can create disturbances which visibly affect your picture. Proper installation, a good aerial are your best safe-guards against these disturbances.

RF INTERFERENCEMoving ripples across the screen are caused by nearby transmitting or receiving-short-wave radio equipment.

DIATHERMYHerringbone pattern and partial picture loss can result from the operation of diathermy equipment from a nearby doctor's surgery or hospital.

SNOWWeak TV signals from long distant stations result in an instead picture and give the effect of falling snow. An antenna adjustment or antenna amplifier may be needed.

GHOSTMultiple image caused by TV signals reflected back from surrounding buildings, hills, aircraft, etc. is minimized by correct aerial positioning.

CAR IGNITIONNearby cars and electrical motors can cause small streaks across the picture or make the picture roll.

1. Remove the batter y cover.

2. Insert the 2 UM4-AAA 1.5V batteries making sure the polarity (+ or -) of the batteries matches the polarity marks inside the unit.

3. Replace the batter y cover.

Replace with new batteries when the TV set begins to show the following symptoms:

Operation is unsteady or erratic. Sometimes the TV set does not function with Remote Control Unit.

Remark:1) Alkaline Batterie Recommended 2) Remove batteries when they are exhausted or if the remote control is not to be used for a long time.
