It is the special phosphorous coating on the bulbs that regulate the light output to the correct level, unfortunately this coating deteriorates over time therefore we recommend that most bulbs are changed every 9 to 12 months.

We offer low cost unbranded and the leading brands of tubes. Standard energy consumption tubes are denoted by the ULTRA prefix and low energy consumption by the ECO prefix. Long-life tubes recommended only for biannual changes have a PLUS suffix.
