Patients on ringer drip usually experience blood flow backward along a tube.
It doesn’t dangerous, but, If this condition maintains more than a minute, The tube must be replaced because of coagulation( 응고 ) and contamination.

4. Design
펌프의 작동원리는 기본적으로 그림에서 보는 것과 같이 membrane 안에 hydrogel 이 있고 물을 떨어뜨렸을 때 hydrogel 이 팽창하여 채널 속 유체를 밀어내 압력을 가하는 방식이다 . 우리가 만들고자 하는 혈액 역류 방지 펌프에 적용하기 위한 설계는 조금 더 생각해볼 예정이다 .

현재 논문으로 밝혀진 hydrogel 을 기반으로 한 microfluidic pump 의 압력범위는 약 1 kPa 에서 부터 10~15kPa 정도의 압력을 내는 것까지 다양하다 . 따라서 , 우리가 제작하려는 역류방지펌프의 압력을 충분히 낼 수 있을 거라고 판단하였다 .
