Definition of renewable source of energy

The renewable energy definition describes how renewables are an infinite source of energy.

Renewable energy has been in use for thousands of years in one way or another. An example of this is how our ancestors used the wind for sailing, and we now use the wind to generate electricity.

How hydroelectricity energy works

Hydropower or water power is power
derived from the energy of falling water, which may be harnessed for useful
purposes.

Since ancient times, hydropower
has been used for irrigation and the operation of various mechanical devices,
such as watermills, sawmills, textile
mills, dock cranes, domestic lifts and paint making.

Wave energy

Energy of the seas

Energy of the rivers

The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric dam that spans the
Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, located in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei province, China. The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity . In the year of
2012, the amount of electricity the dam generated is neck to neck
with the Itaipu Dam.

Hydroelectricity energy in Spain.

The reservoir of La Muela, is located in the municipality of Cortes de Palla Ts, in the province of Valencia, Valencia, Spain. It was built in 1988 over an area of 115 ha and a maximum capacity of 20 cubic meters.

Cortes II Reservoir, is located in the municipality of Cortes de Pallas, in the province of Valencia, Valencia, Spain.

It was built in 1988 in the river Jcar on a surface of 570 ha, with a maximum capacity of 118 cubic meters. It has a gravity dam.

Environmental impact.

Climate change.

Such changes take place to very diverse time scales and on all the meteorological parameters: temperature, atmospheric pressure, rainfalls, cloudiness, etc.

Global warming.

It is a term used to refer to the phenomenon of the increase of the global everage temperature, of the terrestrial atmosphere and of the oceans.

Acid rain.

He is formed when the dampness in the air combines with the oxides of nitrogen and the dioxide of sulphur issued by factories, electric power stations and vehicles that burn coal or products derived from the oil.
