Hyden CRC – Property Manager The Hyden CRC is seeking applications for a new position as a property manager. Training will be required to ensure that relevant qualifications are obtained. Job Description Position Objective The staff member in consultation with the Management Committee of the Hyden Community Resource Centre (HCRC) will work to ensure that the most effective service in Property Management (PM) is promoted and provided to the community. It is the role of the PM to handle business operations as an investment property. These key duties of a PM are essential for the PM to reach targets. Reporting Relationships The PM will be responsible to the Management Committee and the Property owners as required.
Statement of Duties Analyse market conditions Make every effort to ensure that all properties are occupied Organise records and documents Gather documents for financial reports Handle contracts pertaining to the properties Organise property maintenance Address tenant concerns Report to the HCRC committee meetings held monthly
Administration and Management Carry out the duties of the PM Need to be exceptionally organised Advantageous to know the basics of marketing Must exemplify responsive customer service Strong communication skills. Respect clients and tenants, communicate clearly, be sure to be easily accessed and when not available
to have a process in place to allow tenants to connect with the HCRC e.g. pay bills online. Keeping communication lines open is essential Advantageous to have hands on skills, know how buildings work so thorough and well documented inspections can be conducted, know typical problems of rental properties Important to have strong customer services skills Desire to problem solve Use of available resources to come to a positive outcome Computer skills necessary Record expenses and budget Create financial reports for clients and to present to the HCRC committee monthly Process end of tenancy Coordinate repairs and maintenance and inspect repairs Process leases, collect rent, make bank deposits, encourage online payments, verify income and maintain waiting list Ensure compliance with authorities
Research, Planning and Marketing Ensure rent is within market rates Market vacancies when appropriate

SHIRE COMMUNITY GRANTS NOW OPEN
Applications are now open for the Shire Community Grants
Program for the 2018 - 2019 financial year
Community groups, not for profit organisations and sporting groups are encouraged to apply
Grants up to $7,500
Projects are expected to illustrate benefit to the community

Shire Office or on the Shire’s website www.kondinin.wa.gov.au
