CELEBRATION The  5th  Buccoo  Integrated  Summer  Camp  2015  

 

     The   Integrated   Summer   Camp   wil l   be   held   from   6   -­‐   17   July   2015   at   the   Buccoo  Integrated   Facility.   In   a   safe,   fun   and   inspiring   environment,   80   differently   abled   local   and  international  children  will  enjoy  2  weeks  of  adventure.    

                                                                       

 ACTIVITIES  The   children   will   explore   eight   unique   and   highly   beneficial   activities,   designed   to   expand   their  experience  of  self,  other  and  life  in  general:    

• Being  &  Healing  with  Horses  • Playground  Adventures  • Circus  &  Acrobatics  • The  Rhythm  and  Harmony  of  Music  • Nature  Walks  • Art  &  Costumes      • Movement  &  Body  Awareness  • Creative  Gardening  

 

GUIDANCE  The  campers  will  be  guided  by  our  qualified  team  of  passionate  and  experienced  local  and  foreign  teachers,  caring  facilitators  and  dedicated  volunteers.          

   A  typical  day:  

• Gather  for  a  motivating,  informative  assembly  • Experience  one  of  the  eight  inspiring  sessions  • Enjoy  a  nutritious,  well  balanced  meal  at  noon  and  snacks  and  water  throughout  the  day  • Experience  part  two  of  the  activity  

                                     

 FUNDING:  The  Foundation  raises  funds  throughout  the  year  for  our  various  activities.  We  are  active  in  the  local  and   international  media  and  enjoy  an  active   following  on   the   internet.  Many  visitors  and   tourists  coming   to   our   grounds   purchase   t-­‐shirts,   bags,   caps   and   other   merchandise   imprinted   with   our  logo.  The  Foundation  networks  extensively  with  NGOs  locally  and  abroad.    Subsidized  attendance  fee  per  child:  $500TT  local  $1,000  foreign  ($500  of  which  sponsors  a  local  child)    Our  full  costs  are  illustrated  in  our  budget  available  upon  request.

 Eighth  activity  (On   this   day   Group   leaders  choose   an   activity   at   random   –  for  final  day).  

FRI  17   PREPARATION  Children   in   groups   go   to   the  activity   and   plan   with   the  teacher   on   how   they   will  entertain   and   teach   parents  when   they   come   to   experience  the  activities  in  the  afternoon.  

CELEBRATION   –   open   to   public  (small  entrance  fee)  Children   perform   and   invite  visitors   to   learn   something   new  (e.g.  a  dance  step,  how  to  groom  a  horse,  how  to  identify  things  in  nature,   etc).   The   Camp   closes  with  a  special  performance.  

 

     Sending  a  contribution?  The  Foundation  will  receive  any  goods  at  the  site  or  we  will  pick  up  at  your  place  of  business  or  home.  Any  supplies  are  welcome  such  as  games,  supplies  for  arts  and  crafts,  printing  paper,  ink  cartridges,  water  bottles,  t-­‐shirts  we  use  to  print  our  Logo  on,  toilet  paper,  paper  towel,  paint  for  our  grounds,  etc.
