Hunter’s Green Elementary School

Dear Families, I’d like to thank PTA, the Gala Committee, Volunteers, Business Partners, Teachers, Families, and Friends for all the support to make the Gala so successful. This was one of the most organized, detailed, spectacular events I’ve ever attended. Thank you, thank you, thank you! On Monday, October 3rd, we will have a school-wide pep assembly to celebrate our Panther PRIDE teams at 8:10 AM. Students are encouraged to wear a shirt the color of the team they are on (see next page). On Tuesday, the fifth grade students will participate in Hockey by the Numbers, sponsored by the Lightning. On Wednesday, we will have a Bike and Walk to School Day. Students will meet at the park and walk or ride to school as a group starting at 7:00 AM. Parents are encouraged to participate, too. On Thursday, our kindergarten students will attend a field trip at Old McMicky’s Farm. If you are chaperoning, please make sure your volunteer form has already been completed and approved. Friday is the last day of the grading period. This year, we began a program to foster team spirit with our Panther PRIDE teams. Together, we are all a part of the Panther team, but now each student is also a member of a mini-team. Each team is working together to earn points by trying hard, coming to school each day, meeting behavior expectations, and making positive relationships. Each month we will recognize teams that meet the point goal and the point leaders at our assemblies. The team with the most points at the end of the year will win a special celebration! Please see the chart on the next page to find which team your child’s class is on. Thank you so much for all you do for our students.
