8/31/17 6pm PTAO Meeting 9/4/17 Labor Day Student/Teacher Holiday 9/5/17 3:10 SAC Meeting 9/12/17 Interims Issued
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL…
Dear R. B. Hunt Families:
Thank you for a great first 2 weeks of school! We so appreciate you getting your students off on the right foot by getting them to school on time, well rested and ready to work. This week I think students have settled into the routine and our kindergarteners are getting comfortable in their new “big” school. It has been so wonderful to see them adjust and grow! Thank you for sharing them with us!
What a great turn-out for our volunteer kick-off breakfast! We had over 50 interested volunteers in attendance. Thank you for your willingness to give back to our school and for being involved in your child’s education
Next Thursday evening we will have our first P.T.A.O. meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the media center. We look forward to seeing our room parents and meeting all of our new parents. Childcare for school age children will be in the multi-purpose room with pizza for the children.
I continue to be concerned by the lack of regard for the safety of our children. We have established drop-off and pick-up procedures for a reason. Parking across from the school on Magnolia Drive, down Magnolia Drive by the Nursery, and at the Antique Store on Anastasia Blvd is unsafe. Students know that their parents are not following the rules and many seem embarrassed. Please set a good example for your children and follow established procedures. If you need to refresh yourself on them, look at the Parent-Student calendar. Thank you to the parents who do the right thing, even though it may take longer- you are setting a great example for your children.
Thank you for a great start- enjoy your weekend!

Paint-A-Tile to
support the
R. B. Hunt PTAO!
Have you seen our beautiful tile art wall, just outside the main office
door? This year, that could be your child’s artwork! For a contribution
of $30 to the PTAO, students are invited to create a work of art that
will be displayed in the front hallway of R. B. Hunt for the entire
school year!
Pre-registered students will come to the art room immediately after
school on either Wednesday, September 13th or Wednesday, Septem-
ber 20th. Please choose the day that works best for your family on the
registration form on the other side of this flyer. Students will be dis-
missed at 2:55 according to the choice you make on your registration
form. Please indicate your choice and answer all questions.
You will be contacted via e-mail to confirm you registration. Seats
will be filled for each day in the order that registrations are received.
We are also looking for three or four “arty” types willing to help the
students complete their art. If you would like to help, please e-mail Jo
