Dear Parents, Carers and Grandparents,
Thank you to all of the students who campaigned for positions on
the Student Leadership Council as Student Representative
Councillors, House Captains, Vice Captains, Bus and Library
Monitors. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself forward as a
leader and I congratulate you all. Well done to students who were
successfully elected to SLC positions. First Australian Leaders will
be announced next week. Unsuccessful candidates will make up a
reserve list to fill vacancies as they occur during the year.
We will have a presentation ceremony later this term to present
you with your badges. This ceremony is very official with the
students installed into their roles on the Student Leadership
Council by the Hon Kezia Purick MLA for Goyder. Many thanks to
Kelly Reynhout for organizing the polling day for the Humpty
Doo Primary School Electorate! A huge thanks is also extended to
class teachers and parents who supported students throughout
the process.
Ms Vanessa Lowe, our Senior Teacher in the All Stars is
currently on leave and will not be returning to Humpty Doo Primary
School. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Vanessa for the
energy and work that she has put into the All Stars over the years
to support our students. Congratulations to Mrs Anna Silcock who
has won the Senior Teacher’s position for the remainder of
Semester One. On Monday Mrs Michelle Taylor will move to All
Stars 1 as the class teacher. We are currently in the recruitment
process to find a replacement teacher for All Stars 4.
We congratulate Ms Megan
Norrington who has been
invited by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School
Leadership to be a representative on the Teaching Expert
Standing Committee. This celebrates Megan’s excellence as a
teacher in the NT Department of Education and at Humpty Doo
Primary School. We are very proud of you Megan!
Kind regards, Sue Fisher PRINCIPAL Dentist 89226466

Congratulations to our House Captain
candidates who put so much time and effort
into writing and delivering their speeches. It has
been a mammoth task for all those students who stood to be
elected. Your enthusiasm and
dedication is exemplary and we are so proud of you
all.
Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices
Just a reminder that all mobile phones and electronic devices brought to school MUST be handed into the Front Office before the bell. Students are required to
come and collect them at the end of the day. No devices are to be taken to classrooms or placed in
message bags.
Yugioh Cards are the latest craze!
Although wonderful to see students enjoying these cards we have had many incidents of
cards going missing or being damaged. As with ALL TOYS, they are best left at home as the school is not responsible for damage
or loss of these items.
