Monitoring Indicators (way forward discussion) Need for faster data and mapping distribution via Humanitarian Response FSAC has found data useful and would like time to analyse it Recommendation to undertake another round to build the dry season baseline data IOM has received migration information from Digicel and will distribute once it is

appropriately processed. Data may also align with Monitoring Indicator hotspots Pattern of data gaps around Mt Yasur in Tanna - Why is this? Can it be corrected? (See

DISCUSSION 3. Cluster updatesGender and Protection

Informal settlement in Nambatri, comprising 43 families (250 people), is being relocated 40km out of Port Vila to Turtle Bay area

Despite promises, the relocation site does not have natural access to fresh water or any established facilities including a school or shops

Awaiting communications from Ministry of Lands WASH are conducting water evaluations on the new site

FSAC Concerns in North Pentecost as Taro and Manioc are harder than usual, particularly in

coastal areas. The nutritional content is not thought to be affected Planting materials are to be distributed rather than rice NDMO is shipping 28 water tanks to North Pentecost, but no gutters, supporting

materials or expertise NDMO distributed 600 sacks of 25kg rice to 5 communities in North Tanna FSAC working on contingency plan for La Nina, and welcome wider discussions

regarding the contingency plan template (potential to build a national plan) FSAC National Workshop 14-15 June

Shelter First Cluster meeting for 2016 is scheduled for Thursday 19 May (to be distributed) Meeting will recap on 2015, get into lessons learned, and define clear aims and

objectives of the Shelter Cluster Provincial Shelter Officers have been recruited and will be trained by Andrew Peacock

next week

CCCM MEND Mission – final plan expected by end of the week Mission is confirmed and outcomes and level of expected engagement are clear European Commission has confirmed support and released funding through ECHO Team Leader will arrive by 27 May and team will start working by 30 May until 15 June Training of Trainers – IOM have newly recruited officers whom will undergo training

heads at birth. Surveillance teams found that premature births were the cause Strengthening teams with proper data collection and correct information underway

Finalisation of the National Disaster Health Contingency Plan is underway

Logistics Four-day training is tentatively planned for 5 July 2016. Three days will be aimed at

warehouse and stock management, the remaining day will focus on higher level skills Excel and basic management needs have been identified including how to organise a

meeting, set an agenda, communicate and get people involved. There have been discussions to include Cluster Leads and Co Leads in the training, and what this might look like if funding were made available

IMWG Next meeting scheduled for 9am Friday 20 May in the NEOC, NDMO Will discuss First Community Assessment Form with regards to data collation,

aggregation and analysis; recommended systems, how it can be developed (and by whom), and whether a consultant can be engaged

VHT Heads of Agency meeting - 2pm Tuesday (agenda will be sent out this afternoon)
