Human rights are moral principles that set out certain standards of human behaviour. Human rights aim at
developing love, respect and friendship between peopleregardless of their race, religion, color, age or sex.

• On the first day of the academic year, primary, secondary and high school students are given freecourse books.
STUDENTS’ CLOTHES
• Students don’t have to wear a uniform if theschool they attend has accepted casual clothes byasking parents’ will.
OPTIONAL SUBJECTS
• The students have the opportunity of studying anylanguages spoken in Turkey as an optional subjectbesides Turkish.
EDUCATION SYSTEM
• The compulsory education in Turkey has beenextended to 12 years since 2012-2013 academicyear.
BUSSED EDUCATION
• Students living in a village whose schools areclosed because of rare population are taken to thenearest town and given their lunch for free by thegovernment.
DISABLED PEOPLE
• Disabled students continue their education in a rehabilition center after attending governmentschools.

• People who look after a disabled person are paidmonthly by government.

• Public officers have more union rights and theycan sign joint agreement with the government.

• Although the rate of working women has beenincreasing, it isn’t good enough. The rate of working women is about 35%.
SYRIAN REFUGEES
• There are nearly 700000 Syrian refugees in Turkey. Most of them house in container villages andcamps in especially 4 cities close to Syria.

by the observers of UN High Commissioner for Refugees and The European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Unit.
SYRIAN REFUGEES • Syrian refugees are being regularly supported and
paid a wage during their stay in Turkey by thegovernment.
SMOKING BAN• By executing the smoking ban in closed areas, it
has been provided to keep non-smokers healthy.
