Handling of thesupplement:

Remove the supplement hPL from -70°C and thaw in a prewarmed 37°C water bath.Aseptically add the complete contents of the vial to the appropriate medium using a 10ml serological pipette. Thoroughly mix the fluids without producing foam.

Quality control: The hPL batches are tested for sterility, for the absence of Mycoplasma contaminationsand for bacterial endotoxins. Tested negative for HIV,HBV, HCV and more.A certificate for each lot is available upon request.

Storagerecommendations:

Store the hPL supplement at -70°C.The product is stable to the date as indicated on the label when stored properly.Once the medium was supplemented with hPL, the maximum shelf life is 14 days.Please note the date of the supplementation on the label of the medium bottle.Always store the complete medium refrigerated if it is not in use.

Applications: - Replacement of FBS in cell culture media.- Animal-component-free culture of hMSCs (human Mesenchymal Stromal cells).- Animal-component-free culture of human stem cells.- Animal-component-free culture of continuous cell lines.

Productdescription:

The supplement hPL (human Platelet lysate) is manufactured from platelet single donorapheresis samples which are collected at blood banks in Southern Germany. Eachdonor is tested twice, at the time of donation and 4 months later. Only those plateletsfrom double-negative tested donors are used to manufacture the platelet lysates. Eachlysate represents a pool from 25 donors.

Shipment and storage details

The hPL supplement is being shipped on dry ice, and should be stored at -70°C right after delivery unless itis intended for immediate use.
