System description, Application areas

The Fiessler Elektonik Human Machine Interfaces(FE-HMI) are used for diagnosis of intelligentcontroller units like the system families FPSC andAKAS. Due to their integrated intelligence, it ispossible to realize comfortable and ergonomicoperating concepts. Moreover with the integratedPLC functionality, it is possible to perform standardcontrolling tasks.

Further various standard driver like e.g. Modbus,Omron and Siemens are supported. (see page 4)

All available display models are programmed byone programming software. For this, a lot offunctions are available.The user can decide whether he would like tomanage the windows due to predefined tasks or viathe PLC function. Different memory areas support aclear and easy use.

With all display models the user can realize anintelligent alarm management. This is alsosupported through an integrated RTC.

All HMIs can be directly connect to a 24V powersupply. No seperate power supply is necessary.

Application areas:

� Machine construction, e. g. press brakes,eccentric- and hydraulic presses, injectionmolding machines

� Wood machining, e. g. veneer presses, saws

� System engineering, e. g. conveyors, feeders

� Special machine construction in general

Programming Software Flexisoft

The programming software Flexisoft (FE-HMI-Flexisoft) is a very userfriendly software tool to configureand program the different display models.

By means of this software, the user can download the respective PLC-drivers for the interfaces, and canmanage the different memory areas as well as design the shape of the windows. A lot of predefinedfunction will help the user to manage the windows, set the RTC, calculate with mathematical functionsand alarm managing.

Additionally there are functions to support multiple language window management for the end user. Withthe use of the integrated PLC function, complex applications can also be solved by the use of thedisplays. The PLC will be programmed in ladder mode.

A clearly arranged display of the different project tools supports the user to program the displays fastand easy.
