HUD’s 6 Livability Principles

6. Value communities and neighborhoods.

• Purpose: HUD’s CCPG is designed to target housing, economic development and land use planning strategies that will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a related transportation project being planned.

• Deadlines:• Application = August 23, 2010• Funds Obligated by September 30, 2012

• Award Amount: • $1.2 Million

• Match: Applicants must provide 20 percent of the requested funding amount in Match in the form of cash and/or verified in kind contributions or a combination of these sources.‐

• Project Title: “A Strategic Land Use Plan to Connect Transportation, Affordable Housing and Economic Development Opportunities to Transit Oriented Development locations across Tarrant County .”

Goals Will Be…– To assist cities to determine where best to develop

affordable housing and economic development in relation to current and future transportation hubs.

– To provide a planning document for TOD for sites within Fort Worth.

– Create a master plan for the aging neighborhood lying between TWU and Cavile Place along East Rosedale

– Expand the neighborhood master plans surrounding the project anchors TWU and Cavile.
