XH620 V3 is a single-slot node. A X6800 can house eight XH620 V3 nodes, that is, 4 U/8 nodes. Note that XH620 V3 supports three types of
configuration.:
2 x 2.5-inch SAS HDDs, SATA HDDs, or SSDs at the front + 1 x Standard HHHL PCIe card (front)
4 x 2.5-inch SAS HDDs, SATA HDDs, or SSDs at the front
Built-in 2 x 3.5-inch non-hot-swappable SATA HDDs
Note: Besides the preceding configuration, the X6800 chassis has eight half-height half-length PCIe expansion slots at the rear, each
corresponding to one XH620 V3 node.

XH628 V3 2-Socket Storage Node
XH628 V3 is a dual-slot node. A X6800 chassis can house four XH628 V3 nodes, that is, 4 U/8 nodes.
Each node can be configured with 12 x 3.5- or 2.5-inch hard disks. The two expansion nodes on the front support 2 x 2.5-inch hard disks or PCIe
cards.
Each XH628 V3 node has five PCIe expansion slots: two at the front, two at the rear I/O module, and one on-board RAID controller card.

1.CPU:Select the CPU model and quantity for each node.
2.Memory:Select the memory model and quantity for each node.
3.Hard disk:The 2.5- or 3.5-inch disk options are displayed based on the selected node, and you only need to select
a desired model. For example, for a XH620 V3 node with 4 x 2.5-inch disks, no 2.5-inch disk option is displayed
because the node cannot house any 2.5-inch disks. For a XH620 V3 node with 2 x 3.5-inch disk, a 3.5-inch disk
option is displayed.
4.RAID Card:Select the model of the RAID controller card. The second option is whether to support SoftRAID. If
hard disks are connected to the south bridge, and RAID arrays are required, you can install the RAID software
on the OS to implement RAID arrays. However, only specified OSs are supported (see the compatibility list). This
SoftRAID configuration consumes system resources and supports only SATA disks.
5.Network Interface Card:Select a desired network interface card.
6.PCIe Card:Select a desired PCIe card. To configure a PCIe card at the rear of the X6800 chassis, select "Support
Rear I/O Board" and "Rear I/O Interface Board."
7.Back IO Switch Board:Only an I/O interface board can be configured with a rear PCIe card.
8.Insert Card:Options include USB flash drive, SATA DOM(Mini SSD), and security encryption. Each X6800 node
supports one USB flash drive and two SATA DOMs. For example, if you want to install OSs on SATA DOMs or
use all hard disks to store data, you can use SATA DOMs.

Chassis basic configuration:
1.There are two choices for the Chassis: “support back IO board” and “not support back IO board”. If you
choose “support back IO board”, there appears other two options, “ PCIe Card” and “Need the back IO
switch or not” as X6800 has IO module in the back of the chassis( 8 PCIe expansion slots). If you choose
“support back IO board”, you will have this module, then there will be options of “PCIe card” and “Need
the bac IO switch or not” in the node configuration.

1. http://app.huawei.com/unistar/sct/login!loginChoose.action
Choose User Login and enter the user name and password to log in.
Select a country (Australia as an example in this guide) in the upper left corner. Choose Product > IT >
Server, select High-Density servers. Then X6800 and X6800 Spares options are displayed. (The
X6800 Spares package is used to configure X6800 parts and is seldom used.) Click Add to Cart below
the X6800 icon. Then select X6800 in the upper right corner of the window and click Quote. The
quotation window is displayed.

Configuration ExampleExample::Eight XH620 V3 nodes in a chassis. Each node contains:2 x E5-2667 v3 processors, 16 x 16 GB
DIMMs, 2 x 900 GB 2.5-inch disks (RAID), 2 x PCIe cards (one for network port and one for PCIe SSD
storage), 2 x GE electrical ports, one USB flash drive, 2 x SATA DOMs, Linux OS, 4 x 1200 W power
supply units, 4 x high-density cables. Quotation as below:
Note:XH620 V3 supports up to three PCIe cards (of of which is an onboard RAID controller card). This time, each XH620 V3
node must be configured with two PCIe cards. Therefore, besides the PCIe slot at the front, the I/O module (eight PCIe
expansion slots) at the rear of the chassis is used. Set this parameter to 请选择机框类型.
