Fallingwater was designed for the Kaufmann family in 1935 Completed in 1939 and instantly became famous 1991 Architectural Record published a list of the 100

hundred most important buildings of the previous century which included 12 of Wright’s masterpieces (Fallingwater)

2001 A.I.A. selected their top 10 favourite buildings of the twenties century topped by Fallingwater
