Sunday 20 th March Woof & Wag Walk 11am start The Meadows, Stamford‘Woof and Wag along with your best four legged friend and let them do the walking for a good cause.’

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice is encouraging all dog walkers to get out with their four legged friends to enjoy a Sunday morning stroll around the stunning town of Stamford. So sign your dog up today and enjoy a 5mile river walk to raise vital

funds for the hospice work in your local community on Sunday 20th March at The Meadows.The walk will take a stunning route along the River Welham, and on your arrival back, all dogs will receive a goody bag, courtesy of Jim’s Pets for just taking part. For those dogs who have managed to raise over £50 in sponsorship, they will

receive an extra special treat!Stalls will be set up for you to buy some extra goodies for your pets, as well as a local vet there to answer any questions you

have about your animals.But you don’t need to have a dog to get involved, sign yourself up and come along for a Sunday Stroll!

If you have ever wanted to do a Skydive jump – well here is your chance. St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice is looking for adventurous people to do a fundraising skydive to help support services in their local communities.

This is your opportunity to make a thrilling ‘Tandem Skydive’ from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor. No experience is necessary as all training is given on the day.

If you are able to raise £395 in sponsorship you will even get to jump for free!

in a while!With stalls being provided by local crafts, suppliers, producers and businesses, it is a great way to support your local community. For your admission fee of £3, you will receive a glass of wine on arrival and get to wander round all our

indulgence treasures.

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend at the St Barnabas Sunflower Power themed event with fun and games for all the family!Alongside Stamford Garden Centre St Barnabas are encouraging children and families to get green thumbs, by planting

their very own sunflower seed, and other plant varieties getting ready to grow over the next few months. There will also be a variety of stalls filled with games for everyone to get involved in, as well as face painting, balloons and all sorts!

The primary significance of the sunflower is its gift of radiant warmth. They are known as the happy flower and their meanings of loyalty and longevity. They are unique in their ability to provide energy in the form of nourishment and vibrancy, an attribute that mirrors the sun. Simply no flower can lift spirits like the sunflower, and this is why it is so

symbolic to hospices across the country, they are the seeds of life.

Come on ladies and men of course, we want you to pull out your greatest, sexiest and craziest heels to join us in a Stiletto Stroll through the streets of Stamford to celebrate the introduction of the vital hospice services provided by

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice in your local community helping people who are living with a life threatening illness, as well as helping their families, carers and those who have been bereaved.

A short circular route that will start at the Red Lion Square, avoiding those cobbles, taking you through the town centre for all to see! Until we then reach our final destination of the Stamford Arts Centre. Welcomed with a glass of bubbly you will then have time for your modelling debut along a catwalk, and with a professional photographer snapping away for you to

strike the pose to make you feel ultra glamorous!After all that hard work being a model, sit back and relax as you watch fashion retailer, New Look put on their very own

fashion show, showing you the latest looks on the High Street ready for the summer.Local businesses will also be there for you to indulge on some great presents for yourself

Saturday 11 th June Memory Lantern Release 6-9pm Joan & Darby Hall Bourne Picture a gorgeous summers evening, the sun is slowing going down along the horizon, and there in the sky are hundreds of

lanterns, floating up in to the night, each with a stunning glow and grace. Each lantern represents someone who is loved and will always be remembered.

Each lantern released will represent someone’s loved one who has also floated away but still in people’s hearts. The Memory Lantern Release is giving everyone the opportunity to come along and remember those that they have lost some

time in the past.This is the final celebration for Memory Week being held by St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice to celebrate Hospice

Awareness Month. A variety of events such as church services, and coffee mornings are being held throughout Stamford and Bourne with this being the final send off for the week.

On the night, there will also be a short service to celebrate as well plenty of refreshments for everyone to enjoy the summers evening.

Sunday 19 th June Summer Fair 10am – 2pm Bourne Recreation GroundTo celebrate the introduction of St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice services into Bourne, a Summer fair is being held on the

Recreation Ground on Fathers Day to get everyone involved in their local community.

Stalls galore will be covering the playing field with everything you can think of to enjoy! A superb selection of stalls range from cakes to books, tombola’s and bric-a-brac, entertainment and great games for kids of all ages. As well as an

opportunity for some retail therapy with local businesses and craft makers getting involved with showing off their produce.

The two charities have got together to throw a woodland surprise in Bourne Woods, including stalls, fun and games and a trial around the woods to find all sorts of treasures along the way. With so much going on you will be surprised as what you

will find hidden in those woods!

Sunday 24 th July Hospice Hogs Motorcycle Poker Run 10am start Route around Lincolnshire‘Wanted – All Lincolnshire Bikers!

Climb onto your bike for a fabulous bike route around the Lincolnshire county and raise much needed funds in aid of your local hospices.’

With 5 stops along the route to collect a card there is also a chance for one lucky biker to win £100. The best poker hand wins! But the main winners being patients across the county that need St Barnabas’ services every day of the year. As the largest palliative care provider in the county, our services are vital and by joining in this new event for the hospice, you will

be helping to directly support and care for our patients and their families through their most difficult time.At the final stop, a BBQ, bar and refreshments will be provided alongside live entertainment, fun and games for all friends

trials and tests throughout to keep you thinking as you are trekking!The Children’s Summer Sunshine Walk is an event to encourage all you children and parents to kick start your summer in

an active way and to let you know that you don’t have to spend money to get out their enjoy and yourself!This sponsored walk will take place through Bourne Woods with a treasure trail, and fun and games throughout for all to

participate in!

carving, eating pumpkin soup to the best carved pumpkin in Stamford town. Young ones are encouraged to dress up in their best Halloween costume, to win a special prize, and even adults too!

So let this Halloween be extra special as we celebrate the pumpkin in style at the Pumpkin Parade!

St Barnabas is going all festive at the Garden Centre this year to celebrate the introduction of their services into the South West of Lincolnshire. As from January 2011, St Barnabas Hospice at Home teams will start working in your local community to ensure that people with life limiting illnesses get the supportive and quality care that they deserve.

This years Santa’s Grotto will be a winter wonderland with Santa sat ready for everyone to say hello and tell him what they want for Christmas. Fun and games will be going on every Saturday in December and all funds made will be in aid of St

Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.So come along every Saturday in December between 10am – 3pm to meet Santa and get your Christmas present from St

Barnabas!
