Where Is It?DIRECTLY across from the beach, in the middle of Cape May’s world-famous his-toric district and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and other attrac-tions.

Why should I stay there? THIS AAA-rated hotel recently added 10 new sixth-floor penthouse suites, increasing the total number of rooms to 83. Each room has a balcony or sit-ting area with the hotel’s signature rocking chairs facing the ocean and beach. Also, the Marquis de Lafayette has been pet-friendly for more than 20 years and 17 of its first-floor units are designed to accommodate pet guests.

Rated one of the best on the east coast, the Cape May beach is the cleanest around and just a short walk across the street from the hotel. To make it even more enjoyable, guests are reimbursed for the cost of beach tags at the end of their stay.
