Hymn: TiS 555
1. Put all your trust in God,
in duty’s path go on;
walk in God’s strength with faith and hope,
so shall your work be done.
Commit your ways to him,
your work into his hands,
and rest on his unchanging word,
who heaven and earth commands.
2. Though years on years roll on,
God’s covenant shall endure;
though clouds and darkness hide his path,
the promised grace is sure.
Give to the winds your fears;
hope, and be undismayed:
God hears your sighs and counts your tears;
God shall lift up your head.
3. Through waves and clouds and storms
his power will clear your way:
await his time; so shall this night
soon end in joyous day.
Leave to God’s sovereign sway
to choose and to command;
so shall you wondering own, his way
how wise, how strong his hand.
3
Greeting: The Lord be with you.
AND ALSO WITH YOU. (see Ruth 2:4)
Sentence: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never
come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3.22–23
Prayer of Preparation:
As we gather as God's people let us pray together:
God of love and peace, you know what we think and feel.
Touch our hearts that our thoughts and actions may be good so that we
may love you and honour you, through Jesus Christ our Lord, AMEN.
The Summary of the Commandments:
‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the
Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all
your mind, and with all your strength.’ Jesus said: ‘This is the great and
first commandment. And a second is like it: you shall love your
neighbour as yourself.’
Kyrie eleison (Kew Setting)

The Confession
Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith, confident in God's
forgiveness.
God of mercy and grace,
we have sometimes thought wrong things,
and done wrong things and
we have not always loved each other as we should.
We are sorry.
Forgive us and help us to love and obey you ,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Absolution {Celebrant}
Almighty God, who has promised forgiveness to all who turn
to him in faith: pardon you and set you free from all your
sins, strengthen you in all goodness and keep you in eternal
life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
5
Prayer of the Day
O Christ for whom we search,
our help when help has failed:
give us courage to expose our need and ask to be made whole,
that, being touched by you,
we may be raised to new life
in the power of your name. Amen.

THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD Readings from 'New Revised Standard Version' (NRSV)
First Reading: : 2 Corinthians 8:7-11 (CEV)
You do everything better than anyone else. You have stronger faith. You
speak better and know more. You are eager to give, and you love us
better. Now you must give more generously than anyone else. I am not
ordering you to do this. I am simply testing how real your love is by
comparing it with the concern that others have shown. You know that
our Lord Jesus Christ was kind enough to give up all his riches and
become poor, so that you could become rich. A year ago you were the
first ones to give, and you gave because you wanted to. So listen to my
advice. I think you should finish what you started. If you give according
to what you have, you will prove that you are as eager to give as you
were to think about giving.
Response: Hear the word of the Lord,
THANKS BE TO GOD
Psalm 130
1 Out of the depths have I called to you, O Lord:
Lord, hear my voice;
2 O let your ears consider well:
the voice of my supplication.
3 If you, Lord, should note what we do wrong:
who then, O Lord, could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with you:
so that you shall be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits for him:
and in his word is my hope.
6 My soul looks for the Lord:
more than watchmen for the morning, more, I say, than watchmen for
the morning.
7 O Israel, trust in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy:
and with him is ample redemption.
8 He will redeem Israel:
from the multitude of their sins.
7
Gradual Hymn: TiS 683
1. God! When human bonds are
broken
and we lack the love or skill
to restore the hope of healing,
give us grace and make us still.
2. Through that stillness, with your
Spirit
come into our world of stress,
for the sake of Christ forgiving;
all the failures we confess.
3. You in us are bruised and broken:
hear us as we seek release
from the pain of earlier living;
set us free and grant us peace.
4. Send us, God of new beginnings,
humbly hopeful into life.
Use us as a means of blessing:
make us stronger, give us faith.
5. Give us faith to be more faithful,
give us hope to be more true,
give us love to go on learning:
God! Encourage and renew!

WE STAND FOR THE READING OF THE HOLY GOSPEL AS A SIGN OF RESPECT AS WE GREET OUR
LORD WHO IS PRESENT IN HIS HOLY WORD.
The Lord be with you
AND ALSO WITH YOU
The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to Saint Mark chapter 5
beginning at the 24th
verse.
GLORY TO YOU, LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Many people followed Jesus and kept crowding around. In the crowd was a
woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. She had gone to many
doctors, and they had not done anything except cause her a lot of pain. She
had paid them all the money she had. But instead of getting better, she only
got worse. The woman had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him in
the crowd and barely touched his clothes. She had said to herself, “If I can just
touch his clothes, I will get well.” As soon as she touched them, her bleeding
stopped, and she knew she was well.
Gospel Response: This is the gospel of the Lord
PRAISE TO YOU, LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Alleluia (sung by choir and congregation together)

Food Bank: The Food Bank Centre in Footscray that provides the bulk of
the emergency food for relief centres such as Anglicare's Mission House
will be closed for two weeks in early July to install new computer
systems and the training of staff. This is always a time of high demand
for food at Mission House as clients need to apply any spare cash to
paying heating bills. to help fill the gap it would be appreciated if
parishioners could increase their giving
of food (or cash in lieu) at this time or at least bring forward their normal
giving until the bulk supplies resume from Foodbank. The following
items are especially popular and in current lowish supply:
Breakfast cereal, tins of tuna, biscuits of all sorts, tea bags and pasta
sauce
