American Revolution Project Choices Project Timeline This project will be a major portion of your Social Studies grade for 4 th quarter. Please choose a project that you can complete well and be proud of. Below are the descriptions of the project choices. Choose carefully! Once you have turned in what project you are doing, you will not be able to change. Show these options to your parents and discuss what will work best for you. They must sign off on the PROJECT CHOICE CONTRACT. Choice # 1- Flags of the American Revolution Research and make a replica of any American Revolution flag. It may be any of the following types of flags: Regimental, Artillery, Cavalry, Infantry, Company, Militia, or Battle. The flag may be American/Patriot or British/Loyalists. After completing your replica, you must then write two fifth grade paragraphs that discuss the history and details of the flag. These paragraphs will include what group the flag belonged to, the reason behind the design of the flag, and the battles in which it was flown. Include Bibliography. American Revolution Project Choices Project Timeline

Create a media presentation about the American Revolution. Your presentation should include various aspects of the American Revolution. You must have a total of 12 slides that cover the following: 3 important people, 3 battles, 3 events leading to the Revolution, and 3 interesting facts. Include Bibliography.

American Revolution Project ChoicesChoice # 4 - American Revolution Trading Cards

Many people collect and trade cards. You will create a collection of revolutionary era trading cards. You should have a total of 7 cards: 3 British/Loyalist, 3 American/Patriots, and 1 woman. Each individual card will include various biographical facts on the back, their significance during the American Revolution, and a picture of the person on the front. Include Bibliography.

Choice #5: Informative News report

Today, we find out about important events and people through the media including newspapers, magazines, and news shows. Imagine you were a reporter back during the American Revolution. Choose one major event to report on. You may write a news article (1-2 pages) with historical information or video tape yourself delivering a 3-5 minute news report on a major event. Bibliography must be included.

Choice #6: Shoebox Diorama Create a diorama of one scene or event from the time

of the American Revolution. You must include labels, historic figures/places, and a paragraph summary glued to the back of the diorama.
