Bayan Muna–Party- List Bayan Muna–Party-List HO US E RESO L U T I O N No. 929 NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives of the Philippines extend its profound sympathy and condolence to the family of Expedita Ebarle Tañada, wife of the late Senator Lorenzo M. RESOLUTIONEXTENDING THE PROFOUND SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCE OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE FAMILY OF EXPEDITA EBARLE TAÑADA, WIFE OF THE LATE SENATOR LORENZO M. TAÑADA
AND MOTHER OF FORMER SENATOR AND CONGRESSMAN WIGBERTO E. TANADA
WHEREAS the House of Representatives notes with deep sorrow the death of Expedia Ebarle Tañada on December 11, 2002 in San Juan, Metro Manila at the age of 97 years;
WHEREAS Expedita Tañada was the wife of the late Senator and illustrious nationalist Lorenzo M. Tañada and the mother of former Senator and Congressman of the Fourth District of Quezon Province, Wigberto E. Tañada, also a dedicated nationalist in his own right, who are both held in the highest esteem by the House of Representatives;
WHEREAS Expedita Tañada lived her life dedicated to her family and in service to others, earning her the gratitude and devotion of all those who loved her;
WHEREAS she exemplified how the feat of ordinary women in running a household is no less extraordinary as she steered her family through the difficult years of the Japanese occupation and the stormy era of martial law, also providing hospitality and solace to activists during the Marcos years and thereafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives of the Philippines extend its profound sympathy and condolence to the family of Expedita Ebarle Tañada, wife of the late Senator Lorenzo M. Tañada and mother of former Senator and Congressman Wigberto E. Tañada.
