HR 1000-LL Summary

• The HR 1000-LL (Light Lift) is the latest design by Helical Robotics to lift payloads up ferrous surfaces using our patent pending magnetic adhesion system

– Construction Completion: February 2012• Technical Specifications Summary

– Est. Robot Total Mass: 90 – 145 lb depending on optional equipment configurations– Field detachable segments for breakdown to individual pieces each weighing less than

50 lb– Duel Mecanum wheel configuration for better wheel load distribution and increase

payload capability– Water resistant aluminum casing allow operations in adverse weather– Magnet Complement: 8 N52 Neodymium

• Self aligning to work surface• Adjustable: 0.030” – 0.25” from work surface• 90 degree rotate lock for removal from surface and storage

– Payload Capacity: > 50 lb assuming worst case and >100 lb in nominal conditions• Worst Case: Coefficient of Friction = 0.15 with magnets 0.25” from work surface• Nominal Case: Coefficient of Friction = 0.3 with magnets < 0.25” from work surface

– Testing confirms nominal case is typical

– Approximate Dimensions (LxWxH): 57”x22”x20”• Payload shown is HD PTZ camera with 20x optical zoom

– Wireless HD video transmission to ground station using custom designed wireless bridge network
