Press Release HPS signs a major contract in Jordan August 27,2012 Casablanca, August 27, 2012 –HPS, a leading payment solutions company, continues its international development. Jordan Islamic Bank, the best retail Islamic bank in the world in 2011 according to the specialised New York Global Finance Magazine, signed a contract on August 9, 2012, for the implementation of HPS’ PowerCARD © solution. HPS has recently signed a contract to supply a complete electronic payment management solution for the Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB), one of the largest Islamic banks in Jordan. The signing of the new contract took place on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at JIB headquarters, between MusaAbdul-Aziz Shihadeh, Vice-President of JIB, and Mohamed Horani, Chief Executive Officer of HPS. Under the agreement, a new system will be implemented at JIB which will allow the bank to integrate new innovative services for its clientele such as issuing rechargeable prepaid cards and cards dedicated to e-commerce payments, management of funds transfer, settlement of invoices, e-gov payment services and additional services such as balance inquiries, transaction records and chargebacks. In addition, a special service dedicated to the blind and visually impaired will be developed using the ATM with voice assistance. For the occasion, Mohamed Horani, Chief Executive Officer of HPS, welcomed this new strategic partnership that will provide JIB clients with a full range of services in line with technological advances. The CEO of HPS also wished to express its commitment to meet the expectations of the bank by offering innovative services to its clientele in accordance with Islamic requirements. For his part, MusaAbdul-Aziz Shihadeh declared that “this contract confirms the vision of our bank and its commitment to continue to work to support technological progress in the Islamic banking industry and to provide the best banking services in all simplicity by using modern technology through the development of electronic channels. Indeed, since these services were launched our bank has always provided support to their ongoing development and extension in accordance with the Sharia.” It is indeed to be noted that the JIB is one of the largest Islamic banks of the region and globally. In 2011, Global Finance Magazine, which specialises in finance and banking and is based in New York, ranked JIB as the best Islamic bank in Jordan for the 3rd consecutive year and also the best retail Islamic bank in the world for the 2nd consecutive year.

HPS signs a major contract in Jordan August 27,2012

Casablanca, August 27, 2012 –HPS, a leading payment solutions company, continues its international development. Jordan Islamic Bank, the best retail Islamic bank in the world in 2011 according to the specialised New York Global Finance Magazine, signed a contract on August 9, 2012, for the implementation of HPS’ PowerCARD© solution.
