1 Installing SAU
1) Install floating nuts to rack in the shelter.
2) Fix the SAU on the rack with bolts.

2 Installing Indoor temperature sensorInstalling the temperature sensor on the battery rack by bundling tapes as shown in Figure 1
If the battery is installation outside, the temperature sensor should install at the inlet of BTS. As shown in
Figure 2

3 Remove original battery and installing Deep Cycle Battery
1).At least two persons are required in the transport of batteries. Otherwise,
batteries may fall and cause injuries.
2). Place batteries according to the diagram so that battery cables are
connected properly and short-circuits should be prevented.
3). Before connecting the cables to batteries, wear a pair of gloves and
wrap the handle of the socket wrench with PVC insulating tapes.
Tighten the bolts of batteries after connecting the cables .
4). Remove the protection caps for battery terminals when connecting
cables. After the cables are connected, Install the protection caps on the
battery terminals.

3.1 Keep D.G running during the installing process to prevent the site out of power
Set the D.G in Manual mode, and start the D.G manually(Eg: ComAp InteliLite AMF25)

3.2 Turn OFF the breaker in Power System which connected to the
battery. If it is the Fuse , remove it as below figure .
3.3 Remove the cables of original batteries

Note1. Place batteries according to the diagram so that battery cables are connected properly
and short-circuits are prevented.
Note 2. Before connecting the cables to batteries, wear a pair of gloves and wrap the handle of
the wrench with black PVC insulating tapes. Tighten the bolts of batteries after connecting the
cables
Note 3. Remove the caps on battery terminals as connecting the cables. After connecting the
cables , install the caps on the battery terminals.
Note 4. Before battery installation, make sure the original circuit-breaker or fuse in power
supply system suit to the new installation total battery capacity . Replace the circuit breaker or
fuse which not suit exceeding charging current. Maybe use short bus bar to extend capacity.

4.2 Installing Deep cycle battery
1. At least two persons are required in the transport of batteries. Otherwise, batteries
may fall and cause injuries .
2. Install batteries according to the diagram so that connect battery cables properly
and prevent short-circuits of battery.
3. Before connecting the cables to batteries, wear a pair of gloves and wrap the handle
of the wrench with black PVC insulating tapes. Tighten the bolts of batteries after
connecting the cables
4. Remove the protection caps for battery terminals when connecting cables. After the
cables are connected, Install the protection caps on the battery terminals.

Check and make sure that the connected cables are reliable and tight and the voltage of battery strings is
in (48~52.5VDC)and there is no short circuit of battery . Then insert the fuse of battery branch circuit
back.

⑤ Confirm again that power system is correctly connected to Deep Cycle battery ,and power system
can detect battery and there is charge current. If yes, stop the D.G, and turn OFF the output breaker
of DG .The system is powered by Deep Cycle battery. At this time , connect the cables between D.G ,
ATS and SAU (This step is very important to keep the worker out of danger and system OK)
⑥ According to the user manual of D.G ,disconnect the D.G 12V battery power cable and find the DG remote
on/off port to connect cable s1,s2 with SAU

⑦ According to the user manual of ATS ,find the MAIN input of ATS and output of ATS to connect s3,s4 with

4. Check-up
1)Check from the beginning of this guide if there is any cable that not connected .If yes, connect it or go on.
2)Use multimeter to check and insure that there is no any short circuit between any two cables of -48V ,
ground , L1 , L2 , L3 , N .
3)Check according to the System connection diagram to insure the each cable connection is correct , firm
and reliable.

2.1 Conducting a Power-on Test system with Mains
1)Check whether the configuration displayed in the System management list is consistent with
the actual requirements. If it is not consistent, check the cables to ensure that they are
connected properly, and check the number and dimension of the devices.
2) Check the cables between battery and power system to ensure that they are connected
properly.
3). First turn on the inverter ,then turn the circuit breaker connected to the inverter ON in power
system. Check whether the inverter indicator LED is normal. If it is consistent, continue next
step .
4). Turn the circuit breaker connected to the inverter ON in ACDB. Check weather the inverter
indicator LED is normal. If it is consistent ,set the DG to AUTO mode.
Note: In normal case, the indicator LED “INV” on the inverter panel should ON and the indicator
LED “FAULT” is OFF . IF both the indicator LED “INV” and “FAULT” are OFF, check
weather there is voltage on the circuit-breaker in power supply system. If both the LED
“INV”and “FAULT” are ON, check and repair the inverter according to “Inverter user manual”

5) Turn the Mains knife switch OFF to cut the input of Mains.
6) Keep the switch of SAU ON and set the D.G on Auto mode ,then turn ON the MCB of
D.G output.
7)Select Test Mode of SAU, and press Enter. Then, select Yes or No through the
buttons ▲ and ▼. If you select Yes, the system enters the test mode. Select DG1
Control by pressing Enter. The up/down arrow keys enable you to select ON or OFF.
Select the button by pressing Enter. Set the dry contact of the D.G. to ON or OFF.
The D.G. will start or stop working after the setting. Two minutes later, the system
automatically exits from the test mode and operates in automatic mode. The dry
contact signals are restored to the original status. The D.G. power supply is restored
automatically.
8) Turn the Mains knife switch ON to connect the input of Mains .ATS will switch Mains to supply
power to the system. After about 5 minutes delay , D.G will stop. If D.G not stop, check the
connection of “Mains input sample cable”

9)Check the indicators of the SAU. In a normal working state, and there is voltage and current information
on the screen of SAU. If there is a fault alarm, perform troubleshooting operations according to the
Maintenance Guide.
10)If there is no default alarm after the system is run for some time, the test is complete.
11)Put the cover of battery shelf back and clear the site before leave.
