ARTEOR™...Automation Technology - Radio
Proving flexible, Legrand’s Arteor™ offers two platforms of automation:
1) ZigBee radio technology and 2) SCS wired bus technology
ZIGBEE RADIO TECHNOLOGYZigBee radio technology is an international low consumption radio communication standard – based on the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless personal area network. Operating at a frequency of 2.4GHz, it can be used to control lighting, roller blinds, scenarios, and technical alarms. This is achieved via transmitters (wireless) and receivers. With no special wiring required, it is the ideal choice when updating conventional installations, extending an existing automation, or for very simple applications.

ZigBee offers two forms of installation:
1) In the first form, a wall mounted (and wired) switch acts as the actuator and receives signals from battery powered transmitters
2) In the second form, the actuator is a controller that is mounted in the ceiling. It also receives signals from battery-operated transmitters. This second form of installation is excellent for brick and besser block homes

ARTEOR™...Automation Technology
SCS WIRED BUS TECHNOLOGYBased on 2 wire BUS technology working on a private SCS protocol, the BUS offer integrates several applications – lighting, comfort, energy-saving functions, door entry systems, multimedia, remote supervision and control – offering fully networked solutions. It’s ideal for new installations and can be integrated with third party solutions, such as DALI and KNX, through dedicated gateways. Interoperability between systems and third party home automation systems can be achieved through OpenWebNet protocol.
■ Centralised architecture: the system consists of actuators and control devices. Actuators controlling the loads are connected to the BUS and to the power line. They are DIN module devices centralised on the panel board. Control devices transmit information to the actuators through the BUS line
■ All devices are connected in parallel to the BUS, which is a cable of twisted pairs. The functions associated to each product depend on the given configuration
■ Easy configuration: devices can be configured using physical configurators on the device itself, or through virtual configuration via computer

Lighting Management...Put a stop to energy wastage with networkedSCS sensors and room controllers
Following the release of the Switch Sensors earlier this year, Legrand is now boosting its energy-saving product portfolio with the introduction of the Networked SCS Sensors and Room Controllers.
Where Switch Sensors are suitable for managing single or multiple areas, the Networked SCS Sensors and Room Controllers are ideal for easier management of larger areas such as an entire floor of an office building or a whole building.
Compatible with all lighting technologies, the design, monitoring and supervision of the system is done via a PC for optimal energy-savings and convenience. Equipment and lighting features are managed by activators or dimmers and communicate by a BUS wire.

Passive infrared (PIR) technologyPassive infrared technology detects occupancy by reacting to infrared energy sources, such as a human body in motion.
Ultrasonic (US) technologyThe sensor emits ultrasonic sound waves that bounce off objects in a covered space, and then measures the amount of time it takes for the waves to return.
Dual technology (DT)Sensors that employ PIR + US sensing technologies are usually referred to as ‘dual technology’. Our Dual technology sensors ensure maximum sensivity and coverage in tough environments for optimal reliability and energy saving.
LED Satellites...Energy-saving emergency lighting
Expanding Legrand’s innovative range of energy-saving emergency lighting, the new LED Satellite series is another genuine energy-saving solution for helping buildings achieve green star ratings.
Using less than 1W of power in standby mode for a Single Point Unit (SPU), the LED Satellites are suitable for all emergency lighting applications, both new and retro-fit installations, and are available in SPU and Axiom wireless models.
■ Superior D40/D40 classification - with a greater coverage span you can use less fittings and save costs
■ Two rate charge mechanism
