PartnershipsThe ELCIC, CLWR and LWF all help and strengthen the mission we are all called to do. Through partnership, we accomplish so much more.

CLWR, in partnership with ELCIC, has a main focus on refugees. CLWR supports refugees in camps and settlements overseas, and with being sponsored in Canada. They also assist with food security and providing assistance in times of international disaster. CLWR works closely with LWF, particularly in the area of international refugees.

Global Mission is one way that the ELCIC is able to grow and strengthen relationships with its partner churches. Both companion and bilateral relationships are excellent ways to develop relationships in both a synod-to-church and church-to-church manner.

Bilateral Relationships are active interchurch partnerships. Companion Relationships highlight a partnership between a synod and a church.

By adapting to the needs of the communities and areas in question, meetings with pastors, community leaders and public figures aid in the decision-making process of which direction to explore in mission.
