DESCRIPTION

This presentation was delivered in February 2012 by Yvette Adams of The Creative Collective to the South East Queensland directors of Regional Development Australia. The presentation highlights some of the key trends driving the digital economy which require new online capabilities from the entire business community in Queensland. The presentation also includes an overview of the many training solutions The Creative Collective have on offer to increase the online capability of business owners across Queensland – from free webinars offered in conjunction with the Queensland Government’s Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) to professional development and networking events (Web Wednesdays), dedicated, live and interactive training sessions (BYO Laptops) which require participants to bring a laptop and implement actively on the day to customized social media training solutions, depending on the client’s budget and needs. • Many company’s are realising that they have a duty of care to their staff in regards to providing their staff with training in regards to best practice surrounding the use of social media and other online tools, whether that be in a personal or professional context.

• We are in the process of developing online, self-paced learning solutions which will allow large organisations to ‘skill up’ big workforces by getting staff to complete different modules dependent on their status within the company, which can be monitored by management.

• Effect internal training programs can result in your organisation being recognised as an Employer of Choice, and even gain further recognition by entering industry and other business awards for your efforts in this area.

What’s to come? Online training modules
