VIRTUAL INPUT AND OUTPUT ASSIGNING Now you can find the SIGNAL MATRIX & GRAPHICAL DISPLAY EDITOR when you Right click on the Plant structure.

Analog Input has to be mapped as shown in figure .

Binary output assigning: You will be having 12 output contacts in your Input Output module , out of that which contact you want to make high for which output can be mapped with the help of signal matrix.

Binary Input Assigning:

Similarly, Input what you want take to the relay can also be mapped with the help of signal matrix tool. NOTE: In our Exercise we have not used any Binary INPUT.

You can also assign LED for your particular output. Totally 15 User configurable LEDs available for ANNUNCIATION purpose

You can also Read the INPUTS and OUTPUTS which is already assigned in the IED by clicking the READ FROM IED icon shown in the figure.

CT Ratios Primary and Secondary In this Exercise out of 12 Analog channels first four channels (Current Channels) we have used for used for Overcurrent function.

For first four channels set CT ratio as 1000/1A as shown in figure.

HMI LED INDICATION: There 15 users Configurable LED are available, that can be programmed by end user through Signal Matrix tool. LED 1 to 6 Red color LED LED 7 to 15 Yellow color LED. In SMT tool we have mapped first 4 LEDs out of that 15 LEDS. LED 1 – General Trip LED 2 – Rph O/C Trip LED 3 – Yph O/C Trip LED 4 – Bph O/C Trip

To get this indication During a Fault it has to be enabled in the Parameter setting which is shown below. You can set the LED in different mode. In this Example we have set LED in LatchedReset S. It means until you reset the LED, it will glow and indicate that Relay has tripped on O/C.

Enable the HMI LED Function Set the LEDs in Latched Reset-S Mode.

Disturbance Recording Setting: Enable the Disturbance Recorder function to capture the Waveforms of the Analog signal and to view the Binary channels Triggered during the Fault.

Set the PRE_ FAULT AND POST_ FAULR recording time here. Analog signal that is used as phase reference from Disturbance Recorder in its Report (RPH_CU).

Setting the Binary signals of Disturbance recorder Function:

Set now general trio signal OC_TRIP to trigger Disturbance recorder, other signals will just be shown on the HMI. Example here for signal one. Set as shown above

Setting for Overcurrent Function:

Set

1. IBase as 1000A 2. OpMode – 1 out of 3 3. IP>> as 200%

If the Current exceeds 2000 A in Primary Overcurrent relay will TRIP.

You will be getting Read parameters from REL 670 IEC pop up window as shown in figure. Click OK to Read setting from the IED.

The changes you want to make can be made in the PC field as shown in figure.

After modifying the setting you can write these values to the IED with the help of WRITE PARAMETERS TO THE IED as shown in figure.
