How to use Internet Effectively

most popular tool around the world…

With internet you can learn,

investigate, help, and do a lot of

different activities.

In education the internet is a

wonderful tool to research new

information, but not everybody know

how to use it in a effective way…

Knowing the Internet…

• The first time that the internet was used

was in 1985…

• According to the Merriam Webster

dictionary internet is define as “an

electronic communications network that

connects computer networks and

organizational computer facilities around

the world.”

Tips to use internet effectively:

• Use only key words to star your searching topic.

• Do not use articles, pronouns, or conjunctions in the title of your research.

• Use reliable websites for your research. Example educational journals.

• Evaluate information (think critically about the information they find). You can ask to yourself the following questions:

• Is this information accurate?

• Is the information current?

• Who does the site link to? And who links to the site?

• Is there quality control? Are there spelling mistakes,

grammatical errors, or typos?

• Spell carefully, and consider alternate spellings.

• Avoid redundant terms.

• Use synonyms if your key words do not give any result. (It is always good have two options)

• Be patient and take your time.
