In Google plus – there is an option called “ circles ”. Using circles , you can place your friends in different circles and the information you are sharing is only visible to particular groups. Privacy: You can share the information within the circle, ensures high-level privacy.

The first decision you will need to make when creating a community is one of ‘public’ or private.

a) Public community – the content is found in search i.e. they are not private, or

b) Private community – content won’t appear in search, nor can content be ‘shared’ outside of the community as posts normally can be.

Google+ uses them in entirely different ways to organize and recommend content.

Google uses hashtags and semantic analysis to form relationships between topics. For example, consider this hashtag search for #linkbuilding. Notice the related topics Google associates with link building:

When you start to type a hashtag on Google+, a dropdown may appear with suggested hashtags starting with the letters you've typed so far. If one of those is the hashtag you want, clicking on it will insert it into your post or comment.

Once you publish your post or comment, the hashtag becomes a clickable link. Clicking on a hashtag now takes you to the new Explore tab and show post related to tag.

Google+ Smarter Sharing

Most people set their post to "public," thinking this gives them maximum exposure. In fact, there is a much more effective way to gain exposure to your top content, as long as you don't abuse it.

By also adding your circles and select individuals to your share settings, this triggers a notification for those users that you've shared a post directly with them. 

Warning: When targeted sharing is used too often, it turns spammy.  Be careful what you share. 

Only choose your very best, most important posts.
