There are many ways in which you can tie a tie. The most common way is the Windsor not. However there is also the Half Windsor not, the Four in hand, and the shell not. The instructions for these nots are on the right, some methods may be easier for you then others so its best to choose the one that works best for you.

The Classic Windsor not Easily the most commonly used method. To start put the thinner end of the tie on the left and the
thicker side right. It should look like a horseshoe with one side longer
than the other.
Step 2Then rap the thinker end over the thinner one. Since the thicker side
started on the right your folding it left.
Step 2After that weave it through and then over the top. You should bring it up towards your chin.
Step 3Bring the thick side you just
pulled over down and to the left
Step 5Now rap the down and to
the right.
Then bring it to the center up towards the neck loop

Tighten the not by pulling down the thicker end. Slide up and ajust.
