A Message From the
Director
Shepherd Mead’s 1952 satirical guide entitled How to Succeed
in Business Without Really Trying inspired this Pulitzer Prize and
Tony Award-winning bawdy musical that sparkles with humor,
romance, and song. This energetic comedy rounds out Susque-
hanna Stage Company’s Pulitzer Prize-winning season enthusi-
astically with Frank Loesser’s stand-out score and book by Abe
Burrows, Jack Weinstock & Willie Gilbert. Big business means big
laughs as we watch and cheer for the ambitious window wash-
er, J. Pierrepont Finch, scheming and scamming his way from
the bottom to the top of the corporate ladder. Armed with a
beneficial manual and a dose of his own cleverness, Finch
lands a job in the mailroom of the World Wide Wicket Company
and quickly gains promotions by outsmarting his co-
workers. While in his shrewd quest for corporate takeover, Finch
is sidetracked by a marriage-minded secretary, Rose-
mary. Eventually, our crafty, common-man hero has to expand
beyond trusting the helpful little manual and learn to listen to his
heart.
I couldn’t be more excited to bring this exuberant, peppy
piece of theatre to the Susquehanna Stage Company
stage. Looking and acting like the early episodes of Mad Men,
this musical exudes sass with colorful period costumes and the
sly satire of “company men” and everyday workplace drama in
the early ‘60s.
Theater may appear effortless, but in reality, takes months of
preparation, dedication, hard work and collaboration. The
production team along with the gifted performers and devoted
volunteers have worked tirelessly to bring this charming, zippy
show to life. May our efforts and showmanship prove to enter-
tain and delight you. We thank you for your support of live
theater in our community. In the year to come, the 10th anni-
versary season will prove to be thrilling and memorable. Be sure
to join us for every show!

About the Cast
Rob Hein (Ensemble) is happy to be back in his third show at
SSC! He was previously in All is Calm (2016) and Into the
Woods (2015). Rob would like to thank his wife Meghan for all
her support. And a special shout out to those asking what the
opposite of in is.
Keifer Kemmerly (Ensemble) returns for his sixth production at
the Susquehanna Stage Company (Godspell, All is Calm,
Crimes of the Heart). The Columbia native and Lebanon Val-
ley College alumnus takes his coffee breaks at the Penn State
Harrisburg Library. Thanks goes out to the cast and crew and
viewers like you – thank you!
Megan Kelley (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her SSC de-
but! Previous credits include PA Renaissance Faire, Murder at
Mount Hope, People’s Shakespeare Project and MU Theatre.
Much love to family, friends, and her sweetheart Ben for their
unwavering support. Thank you to Nick for this amazing op-
portunity! Enjoy the Show!
Mathew (Mat) Panyik (Ensemble) a veteran of stage and
screen is happy to announce his debut with the Susquehanna
Stage Company. OK... slight exaggeration... he’s watched a
lot of movies, been to a couple of plays and has eaten more
than his fair share of popcorn. When not learning the ropes of
his first ever role as Mr. En Semble, he teaches computers at
two private schools. Mat is grateful for the support and en-
couragement from his children TJ and Lina and his lovely wife
Michelle.
About the Cast
Dave Anderson (Ensemble) returns to the stage after a 14-
year absence. He would like to thank his family and friends for
their support in this endeavor. He would also like to thank the
incredible cast and staff at the Susquehanna Stage Compa-
ny for their acceptance and kindness. Theatre has always
been a passion and he was encouraged in this undertaking
by the two most important women in his life. He hopes they
are watching and are proud.
Kevin Conti (Ensemble) is elated to be performing in his ninth
show on the SSC stage. His previous credits have included
Crimes of the Heart (Barnette Lloyd), The Drowsy Chaperone
(Ensemble), Big River (Young Fool), The Boys Next Door

helped backstage with many shows. Love you, Mom and
Dad!

company since he was eleven and this will be his fourteenth
show at the Susquehanna Stage Company. His favorite role
here was Jack in Into the Woods. He is currently earning a de-
gree in computer science, and a writing minor, at Penn State
Harrisburg.
Beth Gable (Ensemble) has been seen in numerous produc-
tions at SSC, including Crimes of the Heart (Babe Botrelle) and
Godspell (Gilmer). By day she works in the budget depart-
ment of the Lancaster County government and lives in Mount
Joy with her husband Kent and two greyhounds. Thanks to this
cast and creative team for a spectacularly fun show!
Sylvia Garner (Ensemble) is excited to take the SSC Stage
again, previously appearing in Peter Pan, Miracle on 34th
Street, Big River, and her all-time-favorite, Next to Normal.
