About our Presenters:

Kurt B. Swardenski-RHU, REBC; Employee Benefits SpecialistAdvantage Benefits GroupKurt joined Advantage Benefits Group in 2002 after 15 years on the carrier side of the business with The Travelers and Aetna. As Director of Sales and Customer Relations at Aetna, Kurt led both local and regional teams managing the benefit programs for over 75 large, key account customers. Kurt became a partner at ABG in 2009 and has almost 25 years of experience designing and implementing cost effective benefit plans for employers ranging in size from 2-60,000 employees. Kurt is a graduate of Bradley University and has earned the progessional designations of Registered Health Underwriter and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant.

Scott P. McPheeters- AAMS Financial AdvisorEdward JonesScott began his career at Edward Jones in 2005. He worked in his home office in St.Louis, MO. Scott transitioned to his current position, which is located in Grand Rapids ,in February 2007. Prior to Edward Jones, he attended Calvin College and graduated in 2005 with degrees in business communications and Spanish. Scott alsoreceived the AAMS® professional designation in 2011 and completed his term as a board member with the Humane Society of West Michigan. He now actively serves the Western Michigan Edward Jones region as the Community Service Committee Leader. In addition, Scott occasionally teaches at the non-profit ICCFand GVSU as a finance professor. Kim Monaghan- Career Services ConsultantGrand Valley State UniversityAs a Career Coach, Kim helps those in transition- career, relocation and retirement- grow, succeed and ultimately meet their personal career goals. In her work as a Career Management Consultant with organizations and universities, Kim coaches new hires through executives, including those contemplating retirement, as they plan to advance, move through transitions, restructuring or succession management.
