Stage 1 (Online account registration)

Dear students who has never registered with IMechE before.

Please follow the below simple steps to become a member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK with benefit of using their online library absolutely free.Website:www.imeche.org

In above page under Membership and registration click on Membership and registration

In above page in left hand side under Membership and registration click on How to apply

In above page under how to apply that you clicked, click on Apply Affiliate

In above page choose Im a full-time or a sandwich undergraduate student

In above page click on Apply online

In above page click on Create your account now

In above page under Online Account Creation choose NO

The above form will be appeared and you just need to fill it up correctly and click on submit.MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR PERMANENT EMAIL ADDRESS AND NOT THE UNIVERSITY OR ANY OTHER SHORT TIME EMAIL.After registration, you will receive your membership number. Fill up the excel file that is with your class representative and key in your membership number as well.

Stage 2 (Finalizing registration)

After creating the account you need to finalise your registration by filling up some details. Below are the steps:1. In website imeche.org (below page) you need to log in by using either your email address (that you registered first) or your IMechE membership number as login ID and input your password. Click on login

2. Now in below page you can see your IMechE membership number. in below page click on my profile in left hand side column.

3. Then in below page fill up mandatory sections of your details like preferred name in website, home address and telephone numbers and then click on submit at the bottom of the page.

4. You will see the UPDATED SUCCEEDED on page, and then click on student affiliate form on left hand side column.

5. Click on Student affiliate form in the left hand side column. Now you can see your personal information in the page. Click on next to see the next page

6. On next page after click on add qualification, fill up the relevant form as appeared in below picture and click submit. And then click next.

7. In next page, you choose maximum 3 category that related to your interest and click next.

8. In the next page you may tick any form of news or information that you want to receive from IMechE or you can leave it un-ticked. Then click next.

9. In below page just choose neither of these and click next

10. you will see below page that shows you successfully registered as student affiliate. They will send you one confirmation email too.
