    HOSTELSThere are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. While 4 hostels are meant for boys, 4 hostels are for girls. Good quality food is served through separate catering services available within boys and girls hostel. Each hostel has a warden to look after the hostels. The hostels are overall managed by a Chief Hostel Warden. Facility of GYM has also been provided to the students in hostel.

    These CoEs will enable the University to bridge the gap between industry and academia by incorporating global industrial practices and technologies into the academic curriculum and also improve employab i l i t y and se l f competency of student.

    Besides, various other scholarships are available viz. Indian Oil Educational Scholarship, National Handicapped Finance and Development Corpn. Scholarship, RKM Edn. Charitable Trust Scholarship, DLF Foundation.

    The Community College is an alternative system of education, which is aimed at the empowerment through appropriate skills development leading to gainful employment in collaboration with local industries and the Community and achieves skills for employment and the self employability of the people in the society.

    The College conducts one year Diploma and Certificate Courses in (a) Welding Technology (b) Electrician, and (c) Air-conditioning.

    Besides, four new courses namely Lathe Operator, Air-conditioning (Technician), Assistant Electrician and IT Coordinators in Schools were recently approved by AICTE under PMKVY.

    The College also conducts two week Free Basic Computer Course under Digital Literacy Programme for people from all walks of life.

  • In the University, sports activities go simultaneously with the academic session with active participation from students.     Apart from the workshops, the University has state of the art laboratories for students to gain hands on experience about the latest technologies in their respective fields.

    University Library is meant to fulfill the information needs of students, research scholars, faculty and staff of various departments. It is housed in a fully air conditioned single story building. The magnificent library building is centrally located within easy reach from all the departments, hostels and residential areas. The University Library building has a total area of 7200 sq. ft. It has two Reading Halls with a total capacity of 155 seats. In the Periodical Section all the journals, newspapers and magazines are displayed alphabetically.

    University Library has a rich collection of more than 70 thousand volumes in various streams of Engineering & Technology, Applied S c i e n c e s a n d Management. It follows Open Access System. It subscribes to a number of journals, magazines and newspapers for its readers.

    It is well equipped with modern technologies like

    internet, bar code technology etc. The library is automated with the Library Automation Software (Libsys) and its acquisition. Cataloguing and Circulation activities are fully computerized. Every member has been provided a Bar Coded Library Membership Card. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available to locate the reading material in the library. The library is the member of DELNET and E-Shodhsindhu Consortium. The library is having subscription of e-resources from SpringLink, Taylor and Francis, Nature, Economic & Political Weekly, JSTOR, & Oxford University Press, ASME, IEEE, McGraw-Hill Access Engineering, Science Direct(Engg. & Computer Science collection). A link has been provided on the University website on the library resource page to

    access subscribed as well as open access e-books and e-journals. For accessing these e-resources, library has a s e p a r a t e i n t e r n e t s e c t i o n w h i c h i s e q u i p p e d w i t h multimedia PCs.
